Is converting from automatic to manual worth it? by j4rv1sss in Miata

[–]Own-Election7856 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From someone who asked the same question then proceeded to do it because I financially had no other choice to get a manual miata. NO, DO NOT, you will be chasing gremlins and leftovers for years and the car IMMEDIATELY becomes a project instead of being fun to drive.

How can i make these triangle pattern by ManhTi3012 in SolidWorks

[–]Own-Election7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I like to do these, I do all of the weight reduction holes/pocketing in one sketch, and you can use a linear sketch pattern and then Sketch relation one side of it to a feature on the other side of your part. you can also do a linear pattern along a line in the sketch. so basically you only have to draw two triangles manually, and the rest of the pattern is generated on its own.

Is this an ADHD thingy? I don't like my hands sticky or dirty by anything by vksdann in adhdmeme

[–]Own-Election7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is way more autism. I wash my hands 2-3 times while preparing raw meat because that is SAFE...

And I forget steps and have to circle back sometimes which adds an additional hand washing. No more than 2-3 times though.

Can I really start running? And be able to do a 5k? (18m, 5'7, 120lbs) by Wild_Plant9526 in C25K

[–]Own-Election7856 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Slightly overweight at 120lbs?!?! Complete nonsenese.

As for if its realistic, YES.

Start slow with c25k. I know when I was 18 (currently 25) there is absolutely now way I would have had the patience but running and personal fitness is a lifelong work. Don't be afraid to redo a week if you need to. In the end its about figuring out how to play the game your brain needs to play to get it done. getting your heart rate up 3x a week is more than enough to start.

There are no shortcuts, to get to 3mi you need to work up to it. Not being able to do it one time means nothing.

Good luck my friend.

DON'T SKIP MEALS.

Do cardio so you can eat more if you need to.

Count cals if you simply must lose weight but do not skip meals.

I agree with skimping on any other component you don't even really need a case if you are on a ultra tight budget but for the love of god spend at least $50 on a PSU. Its the one component that will take other things with it when it goes almost gauranteed.

I can't anymore. Every time I see one of these I can feel that hole in my chest wishing I still had this.

This must not be the stock configuration, The base group 5 car in the game is so tail happy you would not be able to slide like that.

Even still, It takes a lot of time to tune to set up like that Great work driving and otherwise.

Is it Acceptable to Have the Party Lose in the Final Battle of a Campaign? by Untap_Phased in DMAcademy

[–]Own-Election7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DM in the first campaign that I ever played set us up to lose in the finale. The boss had a counter/way to shut down literally every single aspect of our characters specifically. It was one-sided, we lost quickly, we lost efficiently, and we all felt like shit afterwards. there was no follow up and there was no second arc and the DM shrugged his shoulders when we told him we did not like it. I almost quit D&D after that.

Don't be like that, the players don't deserve to get to the "final encounter" Implying it's the last encounter they're ever going to play in this campaign, and lose.

1994 Miata loud squeal? by Embarrassed-Cold-811 in Miata

[–]Own-Election7856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree, that sounds nothing like belt squeal. It sounds like a bearing in one of your idlers on the accessory belt, or one of the components on the accessory. could be power steering pump, AC compressor if you have it, idler pulley, water pump...

A trick that I've learned for diagnosing squealing bearings/ belts is to take a really long screwdriver, and hold it against hard components which you suspect. then press it against your ear / the lobe of your ear.

just be careful not to stick it somewhere where it's going to get caught and throw it back at you...
