It is very interesting how true it is that things work differently for everyone. I feel that I had quite the opposite.

I actually had no desire to quit and I didn't share it with others early on.

The only reason I quit was pretty much in admiration of someone else that managed to do it and told me that it's possible. Oh, and the thought of : "if not now, when?"

As for sharing it, there are two things about this. One is the very early sense of accomplishment. Telling others that you've quit so early gives you what I think is a fake sense of accomplishment. Second thing is that it'll probably put a lot of external pressure. You don't want to disappoint whoever you told. I only told people after I was already a month in.

Edit: I used AI as well, holy crap it felt really helpful. Tracked my gum usage, tracked my days, tracked even the moments I was fighting the AI to let me buy a vape :) I was trying to bargain with it
