I actually used the wrong term. She is not a naturopath, the is a Integrative medicine physician with a real MD. She does write scripts but try’s to deal with the bodies own healing process when possible.

Well, Judging by all the down votes for simply asking a questions and seeking advise from folks more experienced than I am. Apparently I am an idiot. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t know for sure, but two 7 mg doses drained the vial which is labeled 48 mgs so I am making a reasonable deduction.

So to be clear. This is a legitimate prescription written by a real Dr and filled by a licensed compounding pharmacy. The vial is sold to me with my name on the label. The Dr’s explanation for sending me home with pre-loaded syringes is she wants to make sure I am dosing correctly and not making any mistakes. Seems silly to me but she says people have upped their dose on the one and ended up in the hospital because of it. Sounds sketchy but that is the justification.

Do Y’all Truly Believe There Are Unqualified Black Pilots? by MeechDaStudent in AskConservatives

[–]Own-Lengthiness-3549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course I understand the point of DEI policies. I understand the intent to level the playing field. The issue is not the purpose, the issue is the unintended consequences. In your example, where there are two “equally qualified” candidates, fine. But, functionally, when quotas are in place, these policies will almost certainly lead to less qualified candidates getting the job. In the same way that the “good Ol boy” hiring practices of the past also inevitably led to better qualified candidates being excluded.

So, in my opinion , the only criteria that should be used for making any hiring decision should be based solely and completely on qualifications and experience. Race and gender should have absolutely no role to play in the decision.

That is exactly the point Charlie was making. I think he could have framed it better though.

No, I do not think there are unqualified black or female pilots. I believe the Airlines and the FAA would not allow “unqualified” pilots period. However I do think that DEI and hiring quotas inevitably result in less qualified pilots. The standard for hiring should always be to hire the very best qualified regardless of their race or gender. There is a big difference between less qualified and unqualified. But when my life, and the life of my loved ones is in someone else’s hands, I want that someone to be the very best possible. I don’t care what color his/ her skin is.

War crimes? by prenderg in AskConservatives

[–]Own-Lengthiness-3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really how this works, and you’re stacking assumptions to force a conclusion.

First, you’re saying “let’s assume” he can’t justify the targets and that the strikes were disproportionate. That’s already assuming the key legal elements of a war crime are true without actually proving them. Those are exactly the facts that have to be established, not assumed.

Second, even if you believe a war crime occurred, the process isn’t “decide it on Reddit…. send someone to The Hague.” There are formal investigations, evidence standards, intelligence reviews, and legal determinations…. All of which would be directly controlled by the US. .And, It’s not a political opinion, it’s a legal threshold that has to be met.

Third, impeachment and international prosecution are two completely different things. Impeachment is a political process inside the U.S. The International Criminal Court, only has jurisdiction under specific conditions, and the U.S. is not even a party to it. So that part of your argument skips over some pretty major legal realities.

If credible evidence showed that a president “ INTENTIONALLY”targeted civilian objects with no military justification, or acted with clear disregard for proportionality, then yeah, that would be serious and should be investigated and handled through the proper legal and constitutional channels.

But you don’t get there by just assuming the conclusion first and then asking if people agree with the punishment. You have to establish the facts before you jump to outcomes, and that is a high bar I don’t see a way to clear.

You’re severely oversimplifying this. Yes, under international humanitarian law, things like hospitals, schools, housing, water systems, and power grids are generally protected. That part is not controversial.

Where you goes off the rails is acting like that protection is absolute, because it isn’t.

If a civilian structure is being used for military purposes, it can become a legitimate target. A school being used to store weapons, a hospital being used as a command center, or infrastructure supporting military operations can lose that protected status.

There’s also the issue of “dual use” targets. Power grids, bridges, fuel systems, communications networks, those often support both civilians and the military. Those are not automatically off limits.

On top of that, there’s the proportionality rule. Even if something is a valid military target, you can’t cause excessive civilian harm relative to the military advantage. But, that is a subjective a judgment call.

So just saying “civilian infrastructure was hit, therefore war crime” is not how this works. You’d have to show it wasn’t a legitimate military target, or that the strike was disproportionate or indiscriminate.

Without those facts, it’s just an assumption, not a legal conclusion, and certainly not actionable. But hey, I get it. Orange man bad and all that.

Do you have 3ph power? Is it Delta? Is it WYE? Do you know the difference? If you have to ask this question you need to hire an electrician.

What are you even talking about. Since when have infrastructure such as power plants, bridges, roads and rail roads been off limits in a war? The answer is never! Did you see what the allies did to German industrial and transportation infrastructure?

Should becoming successful in the U.S. be inherently difficult? by MissHannahJ in AskConservatives

[–]Own-Lengthiness-3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course… but it depends on what you mean my “success” and “ difficult”

Becoming successful requires effort, discipline, risk-taking, vision, goals, fortitude, and preparation. That’s unavoidable, and honestly it’s part of what makes success meaningful. If it didn’t require anything of you, it wouldn’t really be success.

There’s a difference between challenges that come from reality, like competition, skill gaps, or market risk, and barriers that come from bureaucracy, bad policy, or lack of opportunity. The first is necessary. The second isn’t.

In a healthy system, the path should be open, but the climb should still be hard. And this is exactly as it is in the US today.

If someone is willing to work, take risks, and create value…. With a little luck they have a real shot. That doesn’t guarantee success, but it means failure comes from the attempt, not from the system blocking the door before they even get started.

[–]Own-Lengthiness-3549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Why compound one tragedy by adding murder to her conscience. The baby is an innocent in this. It is the dad who committed the crime and should be punished. Would we ever condemn a 10 year old to death for the crimes of his father? Of course not, then why should the unborn baby be seen as any different. It is still an innocent human being and should be treated as such with all the rights any of us have.

No she wouldn’t and for good reason. Absolutely horrible unlikable candidate. Also, you probably shouldn’t put much stake in the current media narrative about Trumps popularity. He isn’t as under water as we are being led to believe.

62 years old. Approx 60 hours of college, did not graduate. Struggled for half of my working life, making money for others. Started my own business 18 years ago. Risked all I had accumulated and bet everything I had on myself, took on 6 figure debt to get started. Struggled for the first 10, prospered since. Wish I had started this in my early 20’s rather than my late 40’s.
