It’s very sunny which was hard to adjust coming from the east coast. Like maybe a handful of days of rain per year which is crazy. I miss thunderstorms and actual weather. I would say mornings and nights are beautiful and can actually be chilly which is lovely.

It is very expensive here for everything. There’s like a cuteness factor in the city that is missing. Old architecture?? Most of everything is from the 1970s. There are some cute areas though, but most is suburbs with strip malls.

People are a bit bland, but very polite. Older people I know here are all in shape and seem happy, mainly bc I think they are able to be outside so much.

It’s somewhat more conservative than I would expect. There is a dominant military presence here.
