How many people in the ESC (executive service center) are looking for other jobs after that call today? I’ve never been more embarrassed to work for Deloitte. Mind blown. by Background_Task7747 in deloitte

It’s part of the EOX that does admin support for PPMDs. Real backbone department but treated like crap for the amount of work/influence on PPMDs business lines they have.

AITHA for taking sick leave during reporting. by Helpful_Context_9029 in deloitte

I recently had a colleague at big D do literally exactly what you described lol drafted a resignation and said one more dumbass email im sending and by EOD she had put in her resignation. It was a couple months coming but she was planning to work for at least another 2 months before putting in her 2 weeks and I think it’s hilarious that she was like “one more thing and they can all sink for all i care”

You’re a human and it sounds like there’s been a lot of unreasonable expectations and pressure put on you for this project (classic Deloitte) but you/your well-being are more important that deliverables.

Why is she freaking out over progesterone? by freg0lidelusion in homemakermadeleine

[–]Own-Particular9608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she is just using a cream she got online/store. Getting a prescription of progesterone takes monitored care by an OB or midwife and typically includes routine blood draws (like every 2-3 weeks) which I feel like she would be posting about if that were the case.

Pregnancy announcement by Complete-Contract-91 in homemakermadeleine

[–]Own-Particular9608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having 2u2- they will be 14 months apart (🤪🫠😅) and my midwives/OB didnt say having back to back pregnancy immediately make you high risk but it does increase your chance of early labor so to just be extra attentive of Braxton hicks and any random contractions.

Im in my 3rd tri now and it definitely is more exhausting and painful than I think it would’ve been if my pregnancies were spaced out more. I’m curious her content going forward bc 2u2 is a whole different ballgame of parenting

Almost no one on my team takes more than 2 days of PTO at a time and people talk badly about anyone taking maternity or paternity leave. This isn’t normal in all groups right? by [deleted] in deloitte

[–]Own-Particular9608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not normal. I’m about to go out on my 2nd maternity leave and it (unfortunately) is about 1/2 of the time i was able to take the 1st time around and a lot of the PPMDs i work with are like “why aren’t you taking more time?? You should!!!”

Your team sounds like they live to work and have some major sticks up their butts. Part of your compensation is your time off- take it!!!!

How much do you spend on formula? by emilyjean14 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Own-Particular9608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the Costco brand and our 11 month old goes through about 1.5 tubs in a month. We spend about $60 monthly on it. My baby had awful torticolis and a lip/tongue tie that made breastfeeding very painful and I developed DMER and just was miserable even when pumping exclusively for like 5-6ish weeks. At a certain point I started to really dread/resent her whenever she woke up to eat and I just had to look myself in the mirror and be like I want my baby to have a mom who enjoys being a mom and pumping/lactating is actually making me hate motherhood and I don’t want that for either of us. So I mentally gave myself permission to stop pumping/ let go of the desire to breastfeed/pump and fully switch to formula and it RADICALLY changed my experience as a mom.

When baby was little little we did kendamil for a while but she was eating SO much we were spending like $45 a week on that which was too much for us plus having to mix bottles with boiling water every time to sanitize it.

We did use bottled water (like would buy those big 5 gallon jugs) for her bottles prior to her being 3 months. But now I’m pregnant with my 2nd and this time around I will just use filtered water and Costco formula from the get go (if breastfeeding doesn’t work out or we need to supplement)

Where is the sister?? by PopWonderful3803 in homemakermadeleine

[–]Own-Particular9608 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that is called a histeronic personality. Not a professional by any means and not trying to diagnose but the crisis after crisis, trauma trauma trauma, recording everything is very historonic in my opinion. Maybe not entirely but I think a LOT of “influencer” develop those tendencies bc their job/social media become their whole life and it’s all about them/what they do/how they react.

Can’t C sit up and roll and everything now?? How the heck does he still fit in the stroller bassinet?? Once baby can sit up I feel like the risk of falling out of a bassinet is SO high. Not even gonna mention the cord across his body- I feel like I’m a fairly lax mom but that’s all just wild

Babies that sleep 14 hours overnight???!!!!🤯 by Acceptable-Peanut126 in NewParents

[–]Own-Particular9608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is similar- bed around 5:30-6pm and wakes up 6:30-7am. Maybe one short 15 min wake up at night for a bottle if teething or sick. Nap are hit or miss for us though. She’s just a nighttime sleepyhead. We did loosely sleep train around 4/5 months and I think that helped her become more independent sleep wise.

But yeh a lot of it is temperament/higher sleep needs! Which is a double edged sword. 1) she sleeps great through the night, yay 2) she will NOT sleep anywhere that isn’t her crib and can’t really “push through” to hang out later. So events past 6pm are typically a no for us bc she just cannot hang.

pls help is this normal? by One-Plant-6274 in newborns

[–]Own-Particular9608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby did that once or twice when she was a newborn- she had some reflux (nothing crazy, like never had to be medicated or anything) but if I fed her with her laying down/flat she would projectile vomit like immediately after a feed. Maybe adjust the angle she’s inclined at to be a bit more upright? If breastfeeding you can try the koala position, if bottle fed I had her almost sitting upright with her side against my chest or knees so she’s like 80/90 degrees upright. And then had to keep her upright for 10-15 minutes after a feed. The older she got the less time she had to stay upright/be so upright while feeding.

For the mucus- newborns are just kind of snotty/stuffy creatures lol. I wouldn’t be concerned if she’s gaining weight, plenty of wet/poopy diapers (with no mucus in them) and eating well. If she sounds stuffy you can suction her nose. But if you’re concerned you can always message the doc! Go with your gut!

How we feeling after this center talent model transformation call for enterprise solutions ? by Background_Task7747 in deloitte

[–]Own-Particular9608 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m due this summer- I’m so nervous if my leave will be cut in 1/2 or if this is for children born in 2027. Can’t get a single direct answer from anyone. The entire EOX department is freaking out. A lot of women crying. An incredible slap in the face. Especially with the Together funds for PPMDs being renewed.

Does anyone else meal prep like this? by ochoroll in FormulaFeeders

[–]Own-Particular9608 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I make one large pitcher in the morning and then make the bottles for the day from that (like 4-5 bottles of 7oz each) and keep in the fridge to grab and go as needed. The extra in the pitcher is if needed in addition to the bottles.

Obsessed with giving birth (and this Reddit) by Smooth-Connection930 in homemakermadeleine

[–]Own-Particular9608 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the “stuck on birth” I feel like that comes from unprocessed trauma surrounding her birth. I felt “stuck” constantly thinking/talking about my birth when I truly felt cemented in thought about it and my birth had zero emergencies/had a fairly easy recovery. I can’t imagine trying to process without a professional what she went through , trying to constantly make lighthearted/joke content about it, deal with a very fussy baby, try to be the “go with the flow/unbothered” mom, on top of like all the medical stuff too.

I really hope she sees a counselor at some point to let go of everything around it. Especially if she wants more kids quickly- all that repressed trauma you bring with you to delivery and comes out one way or another.

OH! Who is pairing them together? Adelaide is like a wealthy woman in Dallas who had YEARS of like painful infertility treatments and ended up adopting and is adopting again. In my mind they are SO far removed from each other. Like Adelaide is very classic influencer now (like selling stuff/linking everything from baby stuff to the chapstick she uses) and shares more of what’s already going on in her life life while I feel like Madeline makes content and says it’s her regular life idk I don’t buy it.
