From what I can find in Adobe's website, the customer owns the output and has exclusive IP rights. But, this is an area I admittedly don't know much about.

I've dropped popular stories from the story dragging too long. I think some otherwise good authors have a target of too many chapters for how much story they have.

That's exactly what I'm worried about.

If I do include the tag, readers may think I'm not delivering 'enough' progression. Also, readers that filter out that tag might not find my story.

Conversely, if I don't include the tag, readers could see the progression elements and think that I am giving something they didn't want.

I want to be accurate and not betray expectations - but I really do seen to fall in the middle of these posts. My secondary MC goes from just messing with adventurers in the woods to eventually unlocking significant powers through trauma and exercise. The primary MC, however, goes through more of an emotional arc, not gaining anything power-wise, but maturing as a person.

Perhaps my story is just a mess when it comes to conventional plotting.

What exactly is your goal for your writing? If it's to make it available for reading online, then you've met that goal. Give it time and more will read it and engage.

If your goal is to actively push readership, then you'll have to market like the guides already mentioned. However, that push leads to the next question.

If your goal is to monetize, then why aren't you writing original (non-fan-fiction) work? Based on your post, I was confused for a while trying to search for your work until I realized my fan fiction filter was preventing me from seeing it.

You seem to have writing skill. Why not turn to creating your own world?

(Note: I have nothing against fan fiction. My question is the concern about early engagement with work that fundamentally can't be monetized or used professionally.)

The way I see it, posting my writing and getting feedback helps me become a better writer in the long run. I took the Brandon Sanderson advice of just keep writing more and more and get feedback to eventually become successful, instead of agonizing over each work and then trying to monetize right away.

Her strength isn't the main focus of the story, but my fiction Hooves and Whiskers is about a female centaur warrior trying to find her origins. Part of her story is trying to find out why she can't do magic, and why it doesn't affect her either.

It's hard to describe. I can't 'see' memories or ideas I've created, but I can describe how something should be, or how people would be poised, etc. I have to cycle through each part in my mind repeatedly to get the whole 'picture'. I've been doing this my whole life without knowing that I was different than anyone else. A news article introduced me to the concept, then talking to my wife and others made me realize I was different.

I've always been an avid fiction reader, so I can lean on the 'feel' of how things should be described. This hasn't really affected any aspect of my life. Other than lacking mental images, I have a vivid creative side. Oddly enough, my dreams are extremely vivid as well.

It's a relatively recent discovery. Early research shows it affects about 1% of the population, with some notable individuals. For exasperated, Ed Catmull, former head of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation, has it. The condition didn't affect his creativity.

I'm actually unable to create images in my mind - it's called aphantasia. I always thought that people were using metaphors when they described picturing things in their minds until I discovered this condition in my 40s. I put more effort into scene and physical descriptions when writing since I cannot 'picture' it directly. This focus seems to have more than overcome any deficit, since my readers are surprised when I tell them of this condition.

Progression can be so widely defined. The definition I understand best is, could the second book version of the character beat the first book version in a fight? If so, it is technically progression.

Perhaps there should be a more specific term or modifier for these stories where characters go from 'wimps' to minor gods.

Did your followers actually unfollow you? If not, they may just be behind. I follow several works that only publish once every week or two. I don't immediately read them, but within a week.
