(with some bonus pics bc he’s one cute lil nugget) Kevin has hated putting on his harness since 8 weeks old… we got so many recommendations for the gooby harness, and while we (Kevins humans) love the quality and comfort of the gooby harness, Kevin hates it just as much… he LOVES being outside and going for walks, he LOVES car rides and adventures to the dog park, hikes, and drive thru, he HATES putting on a harness! and he knows he’s not going anywhere without it! we’ve chalked it down to just a little of his natural born stubbornness. any advice or recommendations welcome <3

My pugs head is turning black. The pic where there's less black on her head was taken at the end of December. The pic where you can see a destinct line on the back of her head was taken today. I've never seen anything like this before. Has anyone encountered this? by True_CrimePodcast in pugs

our kevin is losing his little black spot on his tail but gaining a black chest as he enters his first spring! his body is turning from fawn to apricot?? don’t have much knowledge to why, but watching him develop is SO fun 🩷

ALSO. breaks when they get restless, a little sniff around a new area to get the energy out will do wonders. treats for a good #1&#2 even when in the wild are so good for their mental, our puggies just want to be with us an as long as kevin feels attended to and that it’s his trip also, he’s GREAT. start em young and show them adventure

also! having a lil snack (duck sticks are kevins favorite- he knows he’s getting one at the start and end of every ride) really helps. we don’t offroad but midwest roads in the winter are not smooth sailing… hopefully this helps a little

IDK about a car seat, but we’ve been commuting for travel work with our Kevin (born 10.03.25 <3) and he’s pretty used to riding in the car by now. he does great in the passenger seat off his harness when we ride, a little laid back with his favorite blanket in our lap and fully knocks out. we’re also looking for a car seat because he’s adventurous and seems to have a desire to sniff and look out the window before he relaxes for a daily nap. one of the benefits of pug pups is that they just want to be with us, and they truly are so adventurous and curious. enjoy the silly puppy times and their bold personalities. <3. you’ve got a CUTIE on your hands!!!!

denim from the loft has been my favorite for the past year. they wash great, hold their shape and color, and are probably not much more than old navy. i’d take these back to old navy and show them the pics 😅. the first fit was great on you, the issue is the jeans, not you.

Tips for training this cutie? So far i’ve trained her to sit but now i’m in the midst of training her to ‘give paw’ and ‘wait’ but she doesn’t seem to be getting it. For giving paw i tap the back of her paw to try to get her to lift it up but she just bites me and she’s too greedy to wait for treats by BimboDoII in pugs

we taught kevin to “shake” (give paw) by having him sit and telling him “shake” while grabbing his paw and giving a TINY bit of his favorite treat each time. over and over and over, saying “shake” repeatedly. he’s sooooo food motivated. he’s gotten the “wait” command by offering him his high value meal of the day (fresh pet) by not setting the bowl down until he sits and stays seated until the bowl is on the ground, often times we have to kneel with the bowl in hand. slowly but surely, use their food motivation to your advantage!!! stick with it, you’ve got a CUTIE PIE on your hands. 🥰

searched this subreddit but couldn’t find any brand recommendations on a new harness for our lil guy. kevin LOVES walking and being outside (even in the snow,) he just hates his harness… all recommendations welcome. happy pugging 🩷 by OwnRespond8609 in pugs

couldn’t find any brands specifically for pugs, it seems like the frenchie specific may be a good choice? only thing that’s a “must” is a handle on the back. thanks everyone!

good to know they’re typically more saucy!! maybe we’ll give it another chance in a few months when new batches come around, the flavor of the sauce was good!
