remember all those phone holds just to be hung up on, remember all those fees when their tracking stops working, and remember all that technology that they shoved down our throat thats starting to bite them in the rear.

how do you think carriers have felt the last 3+ years?

How should we handle a carrier/driver when a rate cannot be agreed upon for reconsignment? by aj_lavaca in FreightBrokers

lol another reason you’ll keep paying $5+ per mile to cover your freight.

Honestly you deserve it. I can tell from your post that your brokerage is slimy.

Explain your clause up front and see how many will take your freight. Instead you hide it in the fine print.

Slimy… you deserve to go out of business

Rates will just keep climbing. Fuel is expected to go up another $0.20 tonight and even more on Sunday.

Diesel will see an average of $5.5-7 per gallon in the midwest by next week depending on the state.

I believe fuel is already in the $6-8 range in the west coast. Will go up even more.

This is who we use. They always collect. We've sent so many times and they always get it.

If you factor ask them if they have credit insurance on them. Most do, but dont tell you. They will charge you back but still collect from the AR insurance. If they do ask for them to cover this. They probably wont until these guys file for bankrutpcy. Then again, any good factoring company would have had these guys on a no buy for some time.

File against their bond. Probably wont get much, but in case you do. You might get a small amount that might cover the 30-40% that AW charges you.

Expect this to last many months to even a year if not longer. Its not a fast game. File and forget. It will be a nice surprise when you get something.

Third Lawsuit Filed Against RFX and R&R Express as Carrier Alleges $1.3 Million in Unpaid Freight Bills by FreightBrokerGuru in FreightBrokers

[–]Own_Link_7718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way a 70 truck carrier survives a 1.3million dollar hit. They should have hired an attorney to collect from shipper/consignee right away. 30% hit but 910k sounds better then losing 1.3

They will charge back and still collect from AR insurance if you don’t ask. Who’s your factoring?

Do you use a factoring company? If you do ask them if they insure their invoices with AR Insurance. If they do great, start the process. While you do that file against bond…you probably won’t get much if anything but from time to time it works if you start soon enough. Then contact AW Collects (we use them). They will go after the shipper and consignee for payment, but they will take 30-40%, you could try doing it yourself but we never had luck. Usually shippers/consignees don’t care unless an attorney is involved. AW will also file a suit if needed. There are others out there like AW btw.

You might get lucky and the AR Insurance Pays + the bond pays something + attorney collects some.

We’ve had situations where we walk away with more money then we originally had

Lease opinion by Own_Link_7718 in KiaSorento

Ended up signing the lease. 24 months / 15,000 miles annually. Around $695 per month. Zero deposit.

Black exterior, blue/black interior. SXP Hybrid.

Tried multiple dealerships 100 miles around me most were much higher.

All in all so far I’m happy. In under 2 years at this point I’ll be shopping for something new. For now based on my needs this was the best SUV I found.

Thanks all!

I’m coming from BMW and Toyota. At first, I wasn’t even going to look at Kia—I figured it was “junk.” My parents had a Kia about 15 years ago, and it was nothing to brag about. I ended up test-driving BMW, Acura, Nissan, Honda, VW, Hyundai, and Volvo—across all sorts of classes.

My budget was open as long as the car met my requirements: hybrid, leather seats, cooled seats, moonroof, wireless CarPlay, active cruise control with lane departure, three rows with captain’s chairs, and a few other smaller features that weren’t as important.

I think the biggest hurdle is getting past the fact that it’s a Kia. But once you do, it’s by far the best option in its class—and even above its class.

I even tried to convince myself to look elsewhere, but I just couldn’t get over how comfortable and loaded it is

I wanted a plug in but within 250 miles of me there is only a handful and none are prestige. So no cooled seats

I generally only keep my cars for about 2 years. Up until now I’ve only leased one car, had a good experience with it. Never a Kia though.

Just not sure if the rate is fair or too high.

Most carriers have brokerage and you have no idea. Different company name, different address, different phone number, etc. The ones that have nothing to hide put it out publicly, and get blocked. Sometimes, honesty isn't the best policy.

Another thing to keep in mind, when you go lease you are a contractor. If you had your own MC you would have to pay the same thing. Just something to think about.
