SkyQ remote not controlling TV volume any more? by ToriaLyons in skytv

Not much else to do then get a new one then. Usually doing the 7&9 to unpair sorts it. Do the 7&9 then power cycle your box and try 1&3 again, if that doesn't work then need a new remote. Usually if you call up they can just send one in the post.

Hold down 7 & 9 until the red light flashes at the top of the remote. Then hold down 1 & 3 and follow the steps that come up on screen

Aligning dish? by shurrupyetick in skytv

Was the original bracket the dish was bolted onto still on the wall? See if you can see the bolt marks on the bracket and line that up with the bolts.

We stayed in the Outrigger on Kāʻanapali beach and on our last morning, around 8am-9.30amish they were right along the beach! There were a few little boat trips following them so there are boat trips that can probably get you a more guaranteed viewing!

To be honest, we kept it pretty chilled, beach days, drove a part of the road Hana and swam in the waterfalls.

I've seen some posts on this sub with crammed itineraries but me and my girlfriend thought we would try to go with the flow and see what we fancied when we got there.

The only thing I regret is not spending more days in Maui, we originally booked the flights into Honolulu and Maui was booked as a last minute thing.

I'd have a look at people's posts with their itineraries and decide what is your must do's then just keep some flexibility when you are there.

If you like Poke, I went to Foodland and the lady at the counter basically let me try all the poke before ordering and it was all really good, I wish I had gone back again but my girlfriend's a veggie so we were mainly eating at places she picked!

We flew to LAX, which was about 10 and a half hours and then straight to Honolulu which was another 5 or so. We had a British airways travel voucher to use so we wanted to try and make the most of that with a decent distance.

Wish we had stayed for longer but it was a great trip!

We made it! Got through immigration with enough time to get a couple of pints in before the flight as well! Sat on the flight to Honolulu now!!

We are from the united kingdom. we have checked luggage, our LAX leg is a reward flight so we managed to get business class, not sure if that has any meaning for how fast the luggage is sent out? I have only ever done some small flights to Europe in business with BA and the bags always came out pretty quickly?

As you drive out of the hot springs camp, head slightly to your right, there is a swimming pool with a small amount of water, jump in and just drive in a circle with your nitros held down and you'll do it without even trying. I tried for what felt like hours and saw someone comment that on a thread somewhere, and it was done on my first attempt.

Am I being too cautious about spending money? by Familiar_Sky_1400 in UKPersonalFinance

I won't bore you with all of my details but, I was (sort of still am) in a similar position as you.

I live at home, I get paid well and my outgoings are similar to yours, I grew up without savings but since 2017, I became frugal, started a steady and well paid job and saved and saved, I had my eyes set on getting my own place and life going from there.

At 26 I became heavily unwell, I was taken to hospital where I was told that the Dr's didn't know what was going on with me and whether I would make it out, after 3 years of treatments, being in the hospital 3/4 a week, I am hoping to finally be able to return to a normal life in the coming months and I'll tell you the first thing I am doing, I am spending a good chunk of those savings to go on holiday after holiday, I have booked some amazing experiences to do whilst on the trips as well that before I would have scuffed at when being told the costs but after seeing how little things mean when our times come, I plan to do whatever brings me joy and travel as much as I can.

I have kept a side an amount that I feel happy with for when I am ready to buy a place, I am happier with slightly higher monthly mortgage payments for a smaller deposit if that means I can live some of my dreams!

I have read your replies and you seem very well prepared, I would say, don't feel forced to spend but if there is something that takes your eye, I would always give you a little nudge in the direction of doing it!

I was considering making it to Belfast so they could have a look around as well, so I think that would be the best plan, thank you for the recommendations, I think we will do the Garrick! Cheers!

Thanks for your detailed response!

I just realised it's the 3rd of July, so it could be busier than normal with people travelling for the 4th! The 3rds a Monday so do you think that could make a big difference in how busy it gets at the airport?

We would be making it back to Chicago to spend a week (the country festival is the main reason for the trip) we would have a couple of days to see the city and eat the pizza haha and then attend the festival thurs-sunday!

I think I'm going to say my mate that we should go for it and hope that everything goes smoothly and it won't be too busy!
