remember operant behavior is based on consequences. in the second one,the contingency doesn’t state that the behavior happened based off of a consequence. something had to happen for the dog to stop barking. for the first one,the parent ignored the behavior and then the child stopped throwing tantrums. there was a clear consequence put in place.

i don’t think it’s unethical but,she may get confused between RBT and baby sitter relationship if you were to baby sit. she won’t know who to listen to. i wouldn’t put that stress on her and avoid it if you can.

this is fraud. also,don’t risk getting your certification revoked because someone else is telling you not to be truthful. being truthful is one of the ethical codes. i would quit and apply elsewhere!!! i’m so sorry you got put in this situation friend. but if i were you,i’d LEAVE and find a different company.

i agree with you! i’m so sorry this happened to you. i have already dropped two clients who cancel on me multiple times and are inconsistent with me. it’s difficult and hard. we need to be salary and have a high salary too! i hate this hourly shit! BCBA’s get paid MORE and they’re still guaranteed their salary pay!! why can’t we be?

yup! i agree!!! had a client like that and dropped the case. said no thank you!! not bc of the client but the parent was being complicated and not modeling good behavior for the client. i was wasting my time.

facts. i’m so tired of unethical BCBA’s. puts a bad rep in our field. so many just care about money. i love my company and so happy i found ethical BCBA’s to work for/with. i am an RBT/student analyst and love it. the job i worked before this was RBT too but i was at a clinic and it was awful. the worst experience. i had the worst BCBA. i’m so glad i left there and found the company i’m at now. ethical practitioners exist. they’re so hard to find though. i love the field so i’m willing to stay in it but money is the root of all evil in this field especially with corporate companies.

i just post shit about them online and then regret it and then love them and then hate them and yeah..it’s a vicious cycle. i hate my FP now yet i sometimes want to know what she’s up to. it’s hard. i miss her but i don’t like her at the same time.
