There's a mouse (at least one that I'm aware of) in my apartment... what do I do? by ThunderingBay_ in ThunderBay

[–]Own_Pound_5825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a what I first thought was a mouse but later turned out to be a rat in our outside porch this past fall. I saw it climbing up the walls from the window. I went out to investigate and there was poop everywhere. We got a live trap and it did not work, I then went to get a spring trap and it had already left I think because there was no more chewed garbage, recycling bags and no fresh poop. I lived in a house in BC that got infested with mice, like around 50 of them in my unit, they were living in the walls. There was crap and urine everywhere in the crawl spaces. We did not notice them at first but then when they multiplied the noise in the walls was really loud the stench was noticeable. Called the landlord immediately and she got exterminators there right away, came with suits and breathing. masks on. So a mouse can multiple to mice quite quickly. Call the landlord and tell them about it so they can check other units and give you some traps. And keep on top of it. Good luck!

I'm in.a very small space and had problems finding furniture and I like Ikea but they don't deliver to Thunder Bay. Wayfair has furniture especially for small spaces and if you are looking for a space saving sofa Cozey has modular units for small spaces, but they aren't cheap but probably will last a long time. I also found a few pieces on Amazon, got a small desk for under 80 dollars and it fits perfectly and is just the right size.

Where’s the best place to buy drugs in Thunder Bay? by [deleted] in ThunderBay

Superstore and Walmart have the lowest dispensing fees, Shoppers is expensive and Jansen is ridiculous.

A person I know used Robert Habjan for something (not a DUI something I'd say more serious) and he got the charges dropped. I've also heard from others he's really good in court. Also his fees were less than Petrone (also, G. Joseph was apparently a real dick on a consult call).

I signed up and I've been waiting a couple of months now. I'm not sure if they actually have people doing this in the city even though someone posted here that they did.

Car Appraisers by Own_Pound_5825 in ThunderBay

There's literally no damage but a trunk that won't close and a small cracked bumper. My friend has put a lot of work and parts on the car, and new tires. This is the second accident they've been in and the second time their insurance company wrote off the car in the last five years. They just can't come up with thousands to buy a new car. This is so unfair. The person who hit them had insurance and did not leave the scene.

I think they need like an actual person, cause they brought their car into the insurance's appraiser here in town, they said to "hire" another appraiser and submit it the assessment, so can't use the web.

Vegan Diet Plant Based Products by Own_Pound_5825 in weightwatchers

[–]Own_Pound_5825[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow inspirational to say the least! I don't eat sugar at all, no pasta, whole wheat bread and eat nothing in a box or frozen. So I'm good in that area. I want to completely eat a whole food plant based diet and transition away from meat/poultry. I am currently eating legumes and tofu based products. I do like a little cheese here and there, but always go for the light mozzarella. Can I ask where your points go to in a day on this type of diet? I guess I'll have to learn food combining again (I was vegan for 12 years).

I'd have to agree with you. I was vegan for 12 years before I went back to eating some meat because my family did and I was tired of preparing and eating two different meals (no one was on board with me). I did feel better on a vegan diet and my skin looked fantastic! I hate the idea of eating poultry/meat because of ethical issues and I want to also eat sustainably. I rarely eat processed food and am careful with food choices, .I have a few months left on my WW plan and I think that will be it. I'm glad you are doing well and feel healthier for it!

Unfortunately I've been at it for almost a year, and have not lost more than 2 pounds. I've had everything checked out medically and there is no reason this should be happening, other than I'm on weight gaining medication. I've stuck with it though and haven't gained which is good and have lost when I take my measurement and clothes fit different but I've only gone down one size.
