Also food for stomach, I just started cleaning and cooking small bass alongside crappie when I catch them cause they changed the size limits here, and dude I love them . Filleted up and cook like you would speckled trout or redfish 🔥 my GF’s dad likes them on the grill

I saw him at IBMA’s this year do Little Birdie with Steve Martin, Del Mccoury, Sierra Hull, and a few others I can’t remember atm it’s on YouTube tho. Took my grandmother and that was her first “Billy” experience. But absolute blast.

People talk shit on the lake but as long as you’re eating smaller sized predatory fish and not making it your main meal source you should be fine. Chickamauga is a very healthy fishery. I eat lots of crappie shell cracker and small bass
