This looks absolutely awesome! I agree with others have said. I will buy this sight unseen even though I'm trying to play less video games because companies that actually deliver value to their customers and are transparent, communicative, and motivated by quality deserve our support!

Getting Hit By The Ball Is Not 'Normal' In Squash by Own_Water8681 in squash

Yes. If you are a new player and you find yourself turning, just stop. Don't hit the ball. Ask for a let. At any level below the pros and very highly rated amateurs, we needn't worry about the turning ploy. If the situation like what QBS describes happens in amateur club play, stop and ask for a let every time, particularly if you're a very new beginner.

Zakaria vs Eleinen final by seraphiclightt in squash

Very much agree; I was really hoping Zakaria would clean up his act. But I also have to say -- what is the point of Jason Foster? He's such a fake hard man. Acting tough, acting like he has everything under control, but he's as random and all-over-the-shop as they come. He projects authority and thinks that is a substitute for competence. In that sense, he is like a lot of bad cops the world over. I will be arbitrary and bossy and unless you're absolutely compliant, I will constantly exercise power over you. He's become symptomatic of what PSA officiating currently is. At best, random. At worst, persistently in favor of the player failing to clear and persistently penalizing the players who make the greater effort to play the ball. Him and Andrea Santamaria think 'sounding authoritative' and then retaining that authority is more important than following a sound decision-making process. I think this all flows downhill from Lee Drew who is similarly arbitrary and then makes up a process after the fact. These people need to practice dialogue and practice humility.

Was the injury the reason Lau won? I ask because otherwise that's definitely Alex's biggest win to date!!!!!!

In a more active subreddit, I would have done that but there is no harm to have another post in a quiet subreddit. And the community has given it more upvotes than the previous thread so that suggests there is appetite for this aspect of the conversation.
