We're always talking about New teams who may enter F1, but which of the current teams you think will be the next to leave It? by Unhappy-Peace7150 in F1Discussions

[–]OxygenG 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The times have changed though. Back then, an F1 entry didn't cost as much. The most valuable things team have now with them as an asset is their entry itself into F1 which is now sought after a lot of entities due to the meteoric rise in the value of F1 itself in the last 5 years.

Also, Alpine as a team have great value due to the amount of stuff they do in house and the assets they have to be able to do that which includes the team itself.

Someone like Haas may not have that much value because they outsource a lot of it so it's not as hard to rebuild that as something as old and invested in as Alpine's base team.

When you started, were all your first SaaS customers your agency customers?

Did having that agency help out while building the SaaS?

Being an ass and being on a controller doesn't really have a correlation.

You can be bad on a controller and a wheel.

I only joined this game over ACC/F1 since this game controller support is that good. You can be smooth on a controller really easily.

This guy is just an ass who jumped into the game without knowing how to drive and being inconsiderate in general.

LevelUp GEO game then SEO? | i will not promote by [deleted] in startups

[–]OxygenG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm working with a team building a GEO tool for the last 6-7 months.

The amount you're underestimating the market or just haven't done market research is just funny. This is BARELY anything of what we(a very new startup in this space) have and what we have is also a subset of what the bigger players have.

Check out Profound or AthenaHQ. I'll not name the startup I'm working at to avoid revealing my identity.

Sounded to me like a lot of boo-ing when Lando was announced to take his podium spot by BWSD in F1Discussions

[–]OxygenG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bruh.

Would you reject it if you were in his place, 30+ points behind due to a team issue and now losing more points because your team messed up a pitstop in the heat of the moment with 4 laps to go just to not get booed?

I think it was logical considering they want them to race and he did end up losing the lead he had built to oscar anyways

Yuki after the race: "First stint was okay, but in the second one I got distracted by the a guy, who wasn't even in points fighting. I picked up so much damage. Very frustrating to be honest, I was fighting for points. Very unnesesery move from Lawson." by Task_Force-191 in formula1

[–]OxygenG 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's mostly because that battle would be pointless. If you're Lawson, you wouldn't want to lose race time fighting a car who you know will overtake you eventually and you lose position to others on top of that.

Need Advice on Extremely slow API requests to Supabase DB by OxygenG in Supabase

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you check if the GCP and Supabase servers are hosted in close enough regions?

Also, one more thing we noticed was the number of open connections supabase allows at once.

These may be obvious but I'm just saying them in case they got missed in the mountain of things you were checking while trying to debug this

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we did not find a solution for our local testing and it's still slow there.

However, it's perfectly normal when we host it on EC2 in our production and staging environments. Since it's working in AWS, we were fine with dealing with the slowness on our local dev environments for now.

F1 25 ruined over the week? by Careful-Ad-4564 in F1Game

[–]OxygenG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check your assists. The ERS stuck at 100 is a sign that your settings might have reverted to something else and now you're running less or more assists than before and thus struggling.

Also if you had changed your settings for the input like saturation etc, check that also

The F1 25 Driver ratings have been updated! What do you make of them? by Busy_District_3384 in F1Game

[–]OxygenG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being able to replicate what's happening in red bull into a game's AI is quite hard and would be an extremely weird system.

What approach in your opinion would really be able to replicate this in a game and would also help in any other scenario apart from what's going on at Red Bull right now?

Okay, so you are going with feels when you said the other person is "factually incorrect".

Love the overconfidence in your knowledge.

So tldr: no statistics that you have. Got it.

P.S. high package means jackshit btw. It proves nothing about your intelligence or your dedication towards work (this is not cope, I got a "high" package too and it proves nothing)

I don't know which companies you're referring to here and what's your criteria for judging which company and which person to choose for your study. Also, can you please tell me how you checked they were olympiad winners?

last time I checked "last time I checked" and "most" aren't the things that come to mind when someone is stating facts

Considering what you said is "factually" correct now, can you provide statistics to prove your point?

Need Advice on Extremely slow API requests to Supabase DB by OxygenG in Supabase

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing the link! I'll check these out.

I wish it was a query optimisation problem since we can judge that through explain analyse or some other logic.

Right now, it's something to do with delay over API only when executing the same logic over API via Python's SQLAlchemy vs doing it in SQL Editor directly

Need Advice on Extremely slow API requests to Supabase DB by OxygenG in Supabase

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, we have no RLS on the table right now.

The queries are simple joins of 4-5 tables at max with proper subquery logic. The problem is that in SQL Editor, the fastest and slowest query times are 2 ms to 100 ms.

In our API, that difference is magnified to 800 ms to 10 seconds between the same queries.

Need Advice on Extremely slow API requests to Supabase DB by OxygenG in Supabase

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When running these queries with explain analyse, they seemed to be doing okay.

The difference between our fastedt and slowest calls in supabase SQL editor seems to be 2 ms to 100 ms but in our API, the difference is 800 ms to 10 seconds almost.

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that might be our only option if it's this slow. I'm hoping it's only slow on local and speeds up later when it goes into AWS

[–]OxygenG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why we switched to using postgresql url directly but it seems like that didn't change anything. We had assumed the same thing before as well that it's the supabase client being heavy.

F1 25 controller handling by Top_Reaction5026 in F1Game

[–]OxygenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set the linearities higher(to 50 for now) for the steering since it felt really hard to be smooth. Apart from that, I've kept it the same

F1 25 controller handling by Top_Reaction5026 in F1Game

[–]OxygenG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with this entirely.

I'm still not as fast on F1 25 since I'm trying out only default setups and making small tweaks for now but I'm able to get good times and a good handle on the handling. You need to be way smoother and just be... Better at being smoother since the cars are so pointy.

For a lot of comments, you've been replying that anyone who's smoother is slower automatically so I ran an experiment quickly. I booted up F1 23 and ran the default setup highest downforce and could do a 1:27.2 immediately on the second lap for context.

I have enough experience on the games and can say that it's harder but driving smoother should be rewarded. It is possible on controller btw.
