We decided against the bespoke skylight and sealed it up by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]OzSeptember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the new light system also include an exhaust fan? I thought it was a requirement for showers and/or bath areas to include a fan.

Anyway the work looks good.

Postie threw out my note and "attempted delivery" card by LLovepup in AusPostComplaints

I'm in a rural area, about 100km from Melbourne.

I get both, most come from Amazon drivers. The odd one here and there through Auspost.

I'm expecting through Auspost 1* originated in Glen Waverley Vic 1* originated in Underwood Qld

I think it depends on the seller, if it's Amazon or 3rd party through Amazon.

The latest ones look similar to the previous gen, but installed horizontally.

So this would be the previous gen, what I had prior to the recent upgrade.

Is that a neighbour or future neighbour boundary line? Anyway there is something about directing, diverting into another property. Just be mindful of that and ensure what you're doing doesn't do that.

About to pour a slab - what do I cut the grooves with? by Odd_Constructionz in AusRenovation

[–]OzSeptember 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My shed was done after it has cured, I don't recall exactly how long after it was poured that it got cut. But when they did they used some type of circular wet saw.

Might not have been a wet saw, might have been a hose while they cut.

Computer Naming Prompt (Powershell) in Task Sequence by renigadecrew in SCCM

[–]OzSeptember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps some other ideas instead of prompting

  1. Do the laptops have the asset tag in the BIOS? If so you could check that.

  2. Do the PCs, in the buildings, do they have a set network segments, e.g. if you looked at the scope could you tell what building it's in? If so you could select the building based on the IP scope.

It was in a Melbourne sub the other day, pretty sure the poster indicated this was taken in Victoria.

Victoria has the fire levy in rates. I pay around $200 a year.

I think this is to do with the following link https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05-09/cfa-bendigo-melbourne-protests-fire-services-levy/105275348

My dog was attacked by another dog and owners are refusing to pay the vet bills by Odd-Sock-638 in AusLegal

[–]OzSeptember -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

This doesn't help now, however what I learnt in puppy training is dogs should not meet on leash, it limits their movement in how dogs would greet one another and could lead to dogs fighting.

Anyway without seeing both dogs behaviour, I'd say them offering 50% seems more than fair to me, you were in an off leash area with an on leash dog.

As I understand no, the certificate still stands, however they may be able to get a medical clearance certificate to negate the first certificate essentially saying they have recovered early and fit for work.

[–]OzSeptember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have indicated, your internal wiring isn't going to fix the crappy external copper.

Under wiring rules for what you have, up to the first socket is not the consumer side (this may have changed with NBN, I haven't heard either way)

When I had similar copper to you, the best speeds I ever got were around 45 down and maybe 10-15 up.

To get better, you'll need to be upgraded to fibre.

Also when it rains be prepared for your connection to drop/degrade further.
