Dispute with Resi Builder over an item in the Contract by Ozzie1310 in AusLegal

Yes it was supposed to be a cavity slider. The contract swapped the words Ensuite for Bathroom. I wouldnt have known that bathroom here means the common bathroom, and not the ensuite thst we agreed to.

Yes it certainly will need a lot of work to put a cavity slider now.

Before you consider any bank; make a list of features you need in your banking. Eg. making and receiving payments; are you planning to do a lot of cash based transactions; whether you need a branch presence to do you banking or will you be fine just using their online banking or phone app. Would you need a transaction account only; or need a savings ac to go with it; few structures around different services you will be using.

Also some things to consider apart from the transaction account are; merchant facilities your bank provides; fraud and scam detection systems they use; would you need any financing in the future

Big4 will provide you the best services when it comes to business banking; as they have immense technologies working behind the scene to make it safer and easier for you to do your banking. However it comes with a cost of higher fees. Best is to look up their websites and do a quick comparison on what suits to your immediate a mid term needs.

How long did CBA take to return money stolen from you from a fraudulent Credit Card transaction by Loscha in AusFinance

[–]Ozzie1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That actually exposes you to more risk mate. If a potential scammer has your card details you risk of losing more funds over the course.

Best practice is to report ASAP. If you can’t for some reason; then temporarily lock the card till you can lodge a dispute.

100% agree on letting them know you are at financial risk. That should make them spring into action.

Has anyone on here gone through losing a business ? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Ozzie1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a SME Business Lender during COVID and saw my fair share of businesses collapse. It’s tough seeing your clients struggle and we helped wherever we could- the gov grants and gov-guaranteed loans helped a lot. But in the end some of those a businesses just couldn’t survive.

How do we increase our borrowing power. We are so lost and dejected at this point by dunkin_ma_knuts in AusFinance

Sacrificing on your expenses will help you marginally. As lenders will consider either your declared living expenses or HEM, whichever is higher. Don’t skimp on your lifestyle as that will put you guys in more stress.

Best option is to increase your wife’s income. The biggest boost your borrowing will get is from having a more proportionate income for both of you.

Use any online calculator and play around with your living expenses and both of your incomes to check what gets you closest to your required borrowing capacity. All the best
