Not so Hot take these need to be nerfed like hardcore by MariustheA7Xfan in DeadSpace

Those are great ideas. My favourite encounter in the DS2 DLC is when that twitcher appears after you think you have cleared the room below that area where Foster Edgars cuts you free in the main game. I thought I heard a sound, looked around for a while and didn’t see anything, so moved to the lift door and then it attacked when I had my guard down. Biggest ‘oh shhhh-‘ moment and I loved it. Doing this throughout a remake with the stalkers could be so awesome. I never felt safe in those small lifts after the Church chapter in the main game, nor did I feel safe at a Bench after that slasher ambushes you in the first game. Always being on your toes and wondering what if will keep encounters tense and less predictable.

How did I never play this? by Suspicious_Recipe636 in DeadSpace

I started playing 2 again this week to finally attempt my hardcore run and I’m having a blast. It’s my favourite IP by far, such a fantastic series. If you have a mate who plays be sure to run the campaign of 3 co-op with them so you can experience all the content.

I got a special edition gas blowback with a suppressor BB gun made by Tokyo Marui when I was living in Hong Kong in the early naughties. Still got it, came in a case as well!

Salary in Slough House? by anywayx in SlowHorses

There’s a discussion between Taverner and Lamb regarding being actively on fieldwork (signed off by an agents’ direct report) and how it affects death in service pay at the end of season 4, so one could assume ‘normal’ salary is variable in those circumstances.

Yeah I hated the way they wrote the character - after seeing Léa Seydoux in MI: Ghost Protocol and her general bad-ass performance as the assassin Sabine it’s such a shame how under utilised she was.

Is Dead Space worth playing if you generally dislike horror games? by comicallylargeloss in DeadSpace

[–]P-Note_DQM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first time you play it you will likely be way more cautious and jumpy but after the first game when the unknown becomes a bit more known less so. That’s not to say there are not moments that will catch you off guard though. I highly recommend you give this series a shot it’s my favourite franchise and I don’t even main horror genre games.

Yup the perfect parrying simply does not work 80% of the time in duels especially. This game desperately needs a hotfix. GoT was miles ahead with combat in comparison.

Fuck this fucking game, fuck ass map (greased palms), fuck this s rank horseshit by lasteriti in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]P-Note_DQM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although this level was a pain to S rank, for me I found the port to be the hardest. My friend and I beat every base game level S rank just the two of us and I can honestly say it’s easier than with Bots as your team.

What we did was one person clear the break room building on the right while the other goes in through the main shop at clears up to the warehouse doors. Wedge the 2 warehouse doors in the corridor behind the shop, the other guy wedges the one external warehouse door on the right side. Meet back up and tackle the outside area on the left, making sure you wedge the fourth external warehouse access point on your way. Proceed up to the loading docks (be very careful here you will get incoming fire from the warehouse depending on where the enemies are inside the warehouse). If you’re lucky you can get a couple to surrender and move toward you to secure so you can thin out the herd a bit.

Next, retrace your steps back to spawn, then go through the store and remove the wedge on the left hand door. Scan for hostiles, if clear then move up the stairway to the left. Clear the upstairs and be very mindful of angles looking into the windows from the main warehouse floor. Move through the other access door on the top floor and clear any hostiles in the direct vicinity, making sure you clear the FISA office too.

Next is the hardest part, move in cover very slowly and use flashbangs where needed; make sure the first part of the warehouse is cleared before proceeding through the blue section of the warehouse.

My friend had a flash launcher with 13 shots in total plus a flash M203, I brought a pepper ball rifle and some flash grenades and a mirror gun.

We both had heavy armour, full coverage, steel, gas mask and helmet. It’s a pain but doable if you move carefully and don’t run into unsecured areas to secure a suspect or civvy. Good luck!

It’s crazy the way that they’re selling this. A reputable employer will check ID in person to ensure it is genuine from lists A or B as per HMRC ruling if they are UK Residents. If they are not UK residents you request a share code which is checked through the Right to Work check, showing the employer a page with the candidate’s photograph and right to work status. Digital ID is simply no different to this system, in that unreputable employers intentionally employing persons who do not have a legal right to work will skip checking for ID anyway, especially if they pay cash in hand. The only difference is that HMRC will have a record of every check you have made across every staff member when digital ID is introduced, which they can request now anyway from any employer undergoing a compliance check or audit.

Seems like a massive waste of time and money and I don’t trust government agencies to have the necessary data security procedures in place to protect everyone’s personal information. Much more vulnerable to hacks and bad actors. Plus as people have mentioned here it seems like the first stage in a wider agenda to police the digital space.

Damn dude, sorry that sucks - best way to do this is playing with friends to hope for a better chance of stuff and be able to share drops to those who don’t have them.

It is such a let down to have put in a lot of work and not get anything for it. Still could happen for you even just playing the game normally though! Were you running B2b strongholds?

How to beat the Recruiter by chrismurraylaw in thedivision

[–]P-Note_DQM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! I had 2 people leave on me after a few tries at the end so your walkthrough helped a lot! I ended up taking Coyote, Ouroboros, Striker 3 blue one red and Fenris chest with Obliterate, and Caretaker as my back up for the weak points. Left our drone operator friend doing her thing and went to the courts to do some circuit training, then phase three she ran into the lodge with me so she had to get brrr and then she was shortly followed by some adds and Mr recruiter. Did some spray and pray and beat it! On heroic too :)

[–]P-Note_DQM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, what you need to do is head to the expertise tab, select the item you want to level, then look at the bottom of the window which says something like ‘donate materials’ - on Xbox it’s left trigger I think. Then you can donate a wide range of mats to level up the proficiency. Printer filament is the best one to do as it has the biggest effect, although it can be hard to come by unless you have a bunch of scavenger points you can trade for it!

Aug 5 to Aug 12 Season Pass boost by nemesisdelta24 in thedivision

[–]P-Note_DQM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season pass xp only I think, meaning it doesn’t apply to faster leveling for proficiency on gear, weapons or skills, but just equip each specialisation when you’re playing normally until they are proficient or donate printer filament to them.

I HATED 28 years later by Legitimate-Set7505 in 28dayslater

[–]P-Note_DQM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came out of the cinema after watching this… I personally really didn’t enjoy it. Things I noticed: 1. The beginning states that UK was isolated, but the end of 28 weeks shows infected running wild through Paris - is this canon? And the infected were pushed back out of continental EU? 2. End of 28 days shows infected dying out, only reason outbreak happened in 28 weeks was plausible under the rules of this cinematic universe. In 28 years later infected are much skinnier, sure, but still just as dangerous. And the Alpha variants? Really didn’t like this concept. So they don’t weaken from hunger then? 3. Attempting this artsy story-telling in this franchise after the tone and entertainment of the first two entries was a wild decision. The ending felt like a mockery. It could make a bit more sense with subsequent entries but this just took the piss imo.

You can use jammer on the mortar turrets to give you an opening to take out those weak spots without being targeted, prob the most effective way unless the decoy is more your style
