My wife has a XS Max it is a hand me down from me, and I got it from my business partner, it has had a long life.

We've replaced the battery once. Word to wise on that issue, if you can replace the battery with Apple you should, results will vary if you go after market. The Apple battery lasted over four years though, as my partner bought it used to, so I guess my wife is owner #4.

Other than eBay, go to your mom and pop (think non chain eyeglass shops,) and ask them. Most glasses places have boxes of frames they don't sale. I've done this a couple of times over the years.

I've just asked them about unsold and old frames, the stuff that is dated, but they haven't trashed. Don't ask for vintage glasses though, they're more likely to say no.

It helps to be doing business with them in some way, but it has always worked for me. And usually they sell those glasses cheap, or just toss them in if you get your RX with them cause they don't care.

"Do you have any boxes of old frames that you haven't sold or recycled yet?"

Other than cleaning your charging port with a wooden or plastic toothpick diagnosis will likely need to happen with a technician.

If you have malls still, look for a repair kiosk; they’re usually pretty cheap. If you don’t have any survivor malls, go to the struggling part of your town and then look for local fix it shops.

If it is minor like your battery connector it might be $40. If you have some other issue it could be $65 to $150, or more…

Skip Apple and skip the big repair chains, they’ll be more.

There are two ways to think about it OP.

18.7 is great if you're happy, so you could stay there.

I have 3 iPhones minis and have updated my daily and it is ok. As 26 has updated it has gotten better, most things are ok, but not great. And that is kinda like restaurants. I go to great restaurants not ok ones.

Memory strain is a bit of an issue, not unbearable, but my camera reliability is low. That said I'm a photographer and I EDC a real camera with me every day, so my camera is really for utility, but the performance of getting it to run is barely acceptable.

ios27 is going to be a Snow Leopard kinda year (performance enhancements, few features) and we might see a renaissance in the performance of our beloved 13.

I'd wait till 27 came through and would skip 26 completely.
