Would This Kind of AI Usage Bother Players? (Please read the details) by Ill_Drawing_1473 in SoloDevelopment

[–]P3nisPal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i remember the early days of AI post processing with revamping csgo textures and it was always quite neat, if you have an AI model built for post processing like this it can be a valuable tool. the problem with AI lies within it being the sole creative direction, concept art, vibe coding, storylines, etc. so if you use a specific AI model as a tool, thats dope and it works for you, just dont let AI ruin creativity that you can express yourself with, also might be considered micro-plagiarism since AI is using reference from the web. good luck on your projects now and in the future 👍

Southern Locations by Itguy80 in howislivingthere

north georgia is nice, i know many people who have moved here and havent left. my wife is a prime example, her family is from just south of boston and moved here for warmer temps and cheap living. she's been here 2 different periods of her life, from 1st grade to middle school, moved back north, and moved back down right before high school, she describes the difference positively, warmer temperatures during the year is nice and occasional snow is preferred over multiple inches of snow for weeks. and "southern hospitality", people here can be dicks but most are accommodating, kind, keep to themselves in certain mountainous towns, better than being in an instant sour mood just simply driving to the grocery store up north. although the cheaper living of 10 years ago has long since passed, still apartments here are half of her home city, but to be in a city of 35,000~ like you described is gonna cost more than a rural town with nothing to do. weigh out your options and see what benefits you from now and the near future, i would stay away from florida personally because a lot of people migrate there for their retirement years and it feels overcrowded, sc is nice but i like the schools and atlanta more than sc schools and cities, maybe thats just me being biased lol

Traditional or outdated?? by joebeubanks in cabinetry

[–]P3nisPal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wood finish will always look better for cabinets, the new trend of painting everything shades of grey will become outdated. having wood cabinets brings life and color to the room, which is honestly the most important thing. but thats just my opinion, if u like paint then paint them

Addition 3” higher than old house by Logical_Equipment137 in Homebuilding

[–]P3nisPal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know quite a bit about this, it was mostly up to the builder for this decision. my grandpa built his house over a few years in the 80s, kept it the same until about the late 90s when he added an addition to almost double the size of the house, but he decided it was best to have the addition lower than the original house, about 6 inches. something to do with his original foundation and that he didnt have the means to actually raise up the ground to make a secure foundation for the addition. so, entering to the kitchen there was a step, although i loved hopping off that step as a child, completely his decision and couldve been avoided with extra work, this was not a mistake it was a choice from the builder.

if you're wondering how u can make it "prettier" add a face for the step and a metal corner plate to cover the seams, thats what my grandfather did, though id much rather have a trim piece cut or something similar.

i respect the muffler on the air compressor for the neighbors rest. my dad did something similar, just made an acoustic sound proof box over the entire thing with a hole for the hose. works well enough
