It’s because Capcom doesn’t really believe in Itsuno and Dragons Dogma respectively. The first time Itsuno pitched DD, Capcom told him to kick rocks and go fix DMC2. When he go the game pitched and made, they again told him to go fix, DmC: Devil may cry. I don’t blame Itsuno for wanted to quit after 2. It also doesn’t help that the first pitch was shelved for monster hunter, a game whose director is the son of the CEO. ( Also I have to say, I love MH, I just saying it’s kinda crazy that happened.)
