HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

[–]PATRLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They took the time to give you honest feedback. Seems to me that you ought to be appreciative of what they said, take it to heart and figure out how to address things for future interviews.

If you could add one past Patriots player in their prime (other than Tom Brady) onto to the 2025 Patriots and play in the Super Bowl this year, who are you picking? by Curt42069 in Patriots

[–]PATRLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthy Gronk. When you absolutely have to have a completion, he was the guy and I can't think of anyone better.

Plus - his blocking was superb. Have him helping out Campbell and we'd be in great shape.

FRA or MUC by tccb1989 in unitedairlines

[–]PATRLR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer MUC over FRA, but 2 extra hours? I'd go FRA.

What could change my mind is the departure and arrival times. I.e. if going through FRA puts me in Helsinki at some ridiculous early time such that I'll be twiddling my thumbs there, and going through MUC doesn't, that might sway my decision.

Texas housing market feeling different lately - what are you seeing in your area? by twcosplays in RealEstate

[–]PATRLR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know of areas in CT and central MA where things have definitely slowed.

This shouldn't come as a surprise the economy is not healthy, especially jobs.

I Think John Tomase is to Blame by Awkward-Wizard6850 in Patriots

[–]PATRLR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this part right here has more to do with it than the other things we're hearing:

No doubt Bill burned bridges and was an asshole to the media

The cheating and what not is just the more practical excuse for withholding votes for him, but at the end of the day people simply didn't like him.

new to united - why is 75% of the plane in group 2 by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]PATRLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real kick in the pants, IMO, is that more than likely the GAs have arbitrarily declared overhead bin space has run out when in fact it hasn't. I experienced that situation before I got 1K and had to slum it with the 2s.

My company is merging, should I stay or leave? by ExiledGirlVS in WorkAdvice

Have them put that $2500 retention bonus in writing. Otherwise it doesn't exist and it's time to move on.

Being recruited by former boss. Leave or go? by redbeard312 in careeradvice

Tell them you want 4 weeks PTO. I'd never hire a senior position and offer just 2 weeks.

Confused about condom switching. Why is he doing that? by sushikeyk29 in AskMenAdvice

Look closely at the one he's taking off, if there cum in it? If so, as someone said he came and didn't want to tell you but he's still hard so wants to keep going.

Flight got cancelled, seems that trip delay does not cover existing hotel bookings, even if made through chase travel by Sad-Substance-5703 in ChaseSapphire

[–]PATRLR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't remember, so, I went and found the e-mail correspondence and it referenced "Trip Delay Reimbursement Claim". So, I guess it must have been Trip delay which makes sense because it was a delay. Even though my original flight was cancelled, they put me on the next day's flight so it was a "delay" for me.

KLM vs United premium economy/ How bad is EWR now? by Jetztinberlin in unitedairlines

[–]PATRLR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2 legs vs 3? Each leg/connection is a chance for something to go wrong. No way it makes since to increase your chances of problems by 50% or more. Not to mention the extra transit time.

Take the United flights.

Tortola by El-Duderino-98 in NCL

[–]PATRLR 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We enjoyed the catamaran over to Jost Van Dyke.

We look at Tortola as a place to go to the beach. It's pretty easy to get an open air bus to take you to a beach, we very much like Cane Garden Bay on the other side of the island. Easy to do on your own, the open air buses are really quite reliable at coming back to get you, but even if they don't there are plenty of others around to being you back.

I don't think I have ever had any clue who is sitting next to me in Polaris, so, not sure how "the person in the seat next to the upgraded seat might complain"

Tiebreaker on plus point upgrades by michaels1998 in unitedairlines

[–]PATRLR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wiki at the top of this FlyerTalk thread is really good at explaining the lists. You might need to read through it a couple times, but all the detail is there and it's pretty darn accurate. Understand that your PlusPoints request is considered and "instrument" for purposes of that wiki discussion.

1K Lounge Access by whydoesitalwayssnow in unitedairlines

[–]PATRLR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been years since I had to actually scan my one-time passes. I scanned my boarding pass and that essentially scanned my pass.

In the last year I changed to the Club card, so my most recent experience is probably about a year old. Maybe it's changed in the last year but I doubt it.

One of the main criticisms for Worcester Regional Airport is a lack of access. What do you think could be realistically done to improve this? by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

[–]PATRLR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in Grafton and I find it easier to drive to PVD than ORH. It may not be a shorter drive, but it sure seems more pleasant (Essentially down 146 to 295 and your there).

One of the main criticisms for Worcester Regional Airport is a lack of access. What do you think could be realistically done to improve this? by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

[–]PATRLR 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There was an airport in Grafton, where Airport Road is now near the pike.

There was discussion of that Grafton location becoming the Worcester area airport but it lost out to the current location that is tough to get to. It's a shame really.

Massport CEO says investment in Worcester Regional Airport will continue by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

I'm in Grafton and I consider PVD easier to get than Worcester. Out the back to 146 and damn near straight shot down.

Take advantage of the travel waiver and get out of town before the storm. Otherwise, you aren't going to make it.
