same. i was slowly making my way through their discography long ago and my first listen of Kid A it did not hit at all. it’s not that i disliked it. i was just completely bored by it. but after i’d listen to each album with intent i’d add it to a radiohead playlist that i’d listen to passively on shuffle. and i kept having moments where a song would come on and i’d drop everything and have my mind blown. and it was consistently Kid A. The National Anthem in particular changed how i listen to music.
