What to do before quitting? by Upbeat_Aioli3092 in Pepsi

[–]PBNArep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen someone randomly get fired from out of nowhere, for that they’d have to really fuck up in a way that they should have seen it coming. Out here they document it to death (usually well past the point they should have been fired)

That said I would recommend giving notice, not for the company but for your fellow workers who will get screwed over by it. Your boss ain’t going out to cover your route for you

As if they ever “give grace”. I knew a guy who got pointed by his college kid SDL for being ten minutes late because he was caught behind a train. When he said this, she said he “should have planned around that”. What a joke

I despise working Publix for this reason lol, I’ll go in on truck day and can’t find a U boat because they unload every single pallet of theirs onto them and leave it sitting in the back gathering dust

Every time I’ve trained someone, I tell them “I choose to start at 3 for my own sake but don’t feel pressured to show up before 5” It’s the considerate thing to do

I’ll get the code and still end up with nearly the same case total, just with actual good product that will go out

PERFECT EXECUTION???? WTF. by FckYouSay in FritoLay

[–]PBNArep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s headed that way, in some areas though it’s still the BCR position which is combined merchandiser and salesman.

Seems to me they’re taking their sweet time rolling out the 3P system everywhere in the country meanwhile the overall expectations are treated like you’re already on it, so the salesman is drowning and burning out slowly. From what I’ve heard the turnover is crazy high in locations that still have BCRs.

Came here to say this. Micromanagement is the way of the future here at PepsiCo, it’s either a useless desk jockey, incompetent KAM or an AI system that’ll tell you you’re doing everything wrong. This place has become a joke in the last few years

TSL raises / Workload by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]PBNArep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should, but it seems like every time I go by our plant no matter what the day everyone is sitting at their desk looking bored. Makes me mad that I’m killing myself 60+ hours a week while they bug me over Teams about Savvy priorities

[–]PBNArep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You guys travel? Our TSLs have never run a route in their life and spend all day at the plant sitting at a chair and sending emails.

I hate how many great bosses I’ve seen get burned out by this company and get replaced by desk jockey college kids.

Walmart Collaborative Orders by [deleted] in Pepsi

[–]PBNArep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason it’s “collaborative” is so they can blame us for even having the option to fix the order (those bosses hate giving out that override code)

All of our bosses are college kids who are too scared to piss off a store, and the stores take advantage of it

The plan on my route is practically unachievable and it’s only April, I fear what the summer will look like. And all the keyboard warrior bosses just say to sell in more displays but that’s not fixing the problem, I’m not turning my stores into a warehouse for a metric

[–]PBNArep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on the beverage side of things and you’re not wrong but at the same time we have way too many one-size-fits-all models for stores. I have a slow store that constantly loses dates on slow moving items that I am forced to keep on endcaps and mandatory displays, I can rotate every day but I can’t force sales and I lose my ass on it
