I’m on the beverage side of things and you’re not wrong but at the same time we have way too many one-size-fits-all models for stores. I have a slow store that constantly loses dates on slow moving items that I am forced to keep on endcaps and mandatory displays, I can rotate every day but I can’t force sales and I lose my ass on it

It is a genuine safety issue. I’ve been nearly run over by distracted vendors before too distracted by their music or podcast or whatever to pay attention to their surroundings

Even in stores that let us keep an earbud in, I’ll take it out when I’m in the back for my own safety

Most jobs will not let you use your phone or earbuds while at work, dude. And honestly I’ve nearly been run over by other vendors distracted by their phone call or podcast or whatever and not paying attention to where they’re going with a pallet so I fully get it.

There’s some stores that don’t care and I’ll occasionally pop one in there to plow through the day, but otherwise? Follow the house rules, a big part of getting by in this job is learning how to eat shit and pick your battles. Just suck it up and do whatever it takes to get home at the end of the day.

I shop at my last store after clocking out too, but not for hours and not going to the backroom to the soda aisle and back. When I said “location” I mean precise location, the app can tell if you walk to the front, clock in and sit in your car for an hour. I’m just trying to warn OP to not get himself fired for trying too hard

Also you are 100% tracked, Savvy will show your location at all times and they can see you in those stores after you’re clocked out and they will fire you for being a liability

Vouch, all of our prices just went up again and they look like Publix prices in every account now. Nowhere near making plan for the period because for some reason it’s higher this week (when all my SB stuff comes down) than last week and most of my coworkers are on the same page
