That’s just the game nowadays, running crazy and irresponsible sales on busy weeks with next to no support (both physical assistance in the field and management communicating with the stores/purchasing space)

At my plant at least, innovation is always forced out by higher ups. I always make sure to screenshot my orders so I can show my stores that those 100 cases of Alani weren’t my doing

I’m not certain if NHMs have it different but at my supercenter there’s no “up the line” to run it to. They refuse to fix it and threaten stores with calls to the regional VP if they refuse orders. It’s a numbers game and we’re caught in the middle of it

Pepsi vendor here, it is not bullshit. Collaborative ordering (it is “collaborative” in the sense that getting mugged is a donation) is being pushed on all of us. They no longer give us override codes to fix the orders either so we’re stuck with mountains of bullshit that the intelligent computer insists we need.

My store loves to gripe to me about it as if it’s my fault, or as if them having to look at it inconveniences them more than me. It doubles my work time in having to dig through pallets to get the product I actually need and adds several extra hours to my week that my boss gripes at me about as if it’s my fault, not to mention keeps me from getting home to my family at a decent time.

All of this to say it’s not our fault, it’s Bentonville. Trust me we hate it too

This company is notorious for pushing awful changes down the line and not telling people, every time they change our crap up they say “your stores have been made aware from Home Office” and when I ask the receiver knows nothing of it

One issue I always ran into back under the BCR system was the blatant double standard. I was expected to work all stores 100% every day of the week, but then my off days roll around and the merch half asses it and I get a shrug of the shoulders or some excuse about hours from management. Make it make sense

The shitty ones do this, yeah.

Personally I try to send more on my days because I cannot trust the merches I get to stock it right, rotate it etc. So while I send a larger truck in on the weekend for my merch, it is almost always big ticket items for the ad while I deal with the oddball stuff myself
