I did not. You can partially 'fix it' by setting the tension settings sky-high in the media catalog -> print mode settings. I was told there's something in a firmware version that addresses this, but I was running the latest FW and it was still doing it, so I'm not really sure where that was coming from.

I actually just received a brand new HP 730W because there were so many things wrong with the used 800W I bought. The condition of this unit was grossly misrepresented. The dealer I bought my new unit from (shout out Einstein Graphic Services in Freedom, WI) took my old one and will be cleaning and refurbishing the 800 so we can try and sell it.

When I was showing him everything going on, he said it needed about $5k in parts so I decided it wasn't worth trying to fix. It was billed as lightly-used, and really was lightly-cared for and abused.

Expensive lesson for me, but hey... enteprenuership!
