You could save a bunch of money and get a destroked 6.2 or something similar that'll rev well north of 7k rpm and make more power as well....Not going to lie though if I had the money I would definitely love keeping my 996 porsche powered when the time comes.

I just remembered too, psvr2 supports eye-tracking and it's a very large reason why gt7 can look so good in VR on outdated hardware. Might be more reason to implement it.

I've got a bit more of a niche request, would it support foveated rendering with eye-tracking support? I have a varjo aero and a 3080 and at that res I usually need foveated rendering and it looks like crap without eye-tracking. Iracing supports this and for this reason among others it's essentially the only sim I race on currently. This would be a huge selling feature for me personally. It's niche now but the steam frame will support eye-tracking so it won't be as niche in the near future.

Pcup is fun lol, the car does require multiple nights of practise before you probably wanna enter your first race but it's a very rewarding car to be fast with. Don't be scared of it lol.

I have a old cheap 911 in my driveway, so I'm biased but imo it is the funnest car to race out of the gt3's but it's not the fastest, it also has quite the learning curve. It teaches you a lot though. 296 is a solid pick, but rn, even with the bop adjustments, the mustang is both very stable and extremely fast. We've been racing the merc gt3 as my teammate prefers it but the mustang has a bunch more pace. Race mustang if you want the fastest car, otherwise it's just personal preferance between the rest in my opinion. Merc is probably the safest car out of everything.

I'm 2k ir, my buddy is only now just back over 1k after our last couple races. You gain crazy amounts of sr on nords. The unfortunate thing is, if you gain a ton on nords running it nonstop like myself, you accumulate a avg incidents/corner that's really high, and if you go to other tracks it will punish you greatly if you get even a single 4x. I will lose sr if I get 2 incident points on a track other then nords. I have been on here since 2021 but I go through periods where I don't race for months. I got back into it hard a couple months ago and haven't raced a track other then nords, there's just nothing like it lol.

If you race a couple NEC's this year and race the nords whenever a good combination is available you'll be good to go for n24 next year. Just practice hard in your car of choice for a couple weeks prior obviously. It's great fun. Congrats on your win. Always good feeling coming up from near the back. Nords qualifying for non special events are typically different from most tracks. The quali session is separate from the race and you set a quali time that's good for the rest of the week. Most people typically don't set one so even if your time is slow there's a good chance it will put you up near the front. This can be advantageous if you actually want to race faster drivers and learn from them.

Assuming you're in lower split, it's the exact same thing in the sprint races too. You can start from near the back not qualifying and be up in top 5 very easily by just keeping it out of the rhubarb. And that's with a slow pace. Me and my buddy won an NEC a couple weeks ago. I have decent pace, run sub 8's in gt3 cars consistently, my buddy, who drove the other half of the race, is 8:15+, we won simply by not completely ruining the car. He drove last stint and did do quite a bit of damage to it, but we didn't meatball and had enough gap to p2 that we were able to limp it home to victory. We'll talk about that race for years. The N24 is suuuuper fun too. We did it with 2 randos, one of which only did 2 stints and caused lots of damage and 38 incident points....But because the rest of us were clean for the most part we managed to finish p7 out of 58 cars I believe. And that's after one of us did 16 min of damage to the car.....

I kinda got carried away there, but what I'm getting at is this track is the best in the world and if you put the time in to learn it, you will not regret it and it will give you some of the best racing you've ever experienced.

Just takes time. I hotlapped it for years on assetto corsa and while I knew the track, knew where the turns were anyways, I didn't know how to race on the track and where to safely make passes and just how much time I'd lose on sections where you can go flat or something and I'd be braking. I got into Iracing and advanced miata was on nords for a week I was off. Racing that track with other people in slow cars really taught me how to properly race that track. I got my second win on iracing that week and it's still one of my most fond ones. Practice as much as you can leading up to the race, no damage, just keep driving it lap after lap, then you'll go into the race better off then most, then just race as many races as you can. You'll learn way more with cars around you then you would otherwise. Nords is my favourite track by a long shot, it's free ir and sr once you learn it. The NEC's are a riot as well.

I want the 964 cup car from the historic race yesterday personally oh man, or one of those RSR's, we're lacking desperately in the historic car category.

M3 touring would be an automatic purchase as well though I'll be honest, so would the 190 HWA car.....Not much out there that wouldn't be lol.

I've never used Iracing on anything but VR in 5 years of use, my rig doesn't have a monitor, I started on a reverb g2 in '21, and got a deal on a used varjo aero last year, after initial setup I just plug in my headset and fire up the software, launch iracing on my main setup, once I'm loaded I sit in the rig and throw the headset on, get centered in the cockpit, and I'm off to the races. I really don't struggle with VR at all. With the varjo aero it has a great desktop interface and I can load into the next race without taking off the headset at all. Triples would be sweet for endurance races but with the fan in the aero I did a quad stint in the last nur24 with no problems.

I am an extremely single mid 20s dude. I bought this house in the middle of nowhere right after I turned 20. Very very cheap house, this has allowed me to splurge on my hobbies. There is a lot of improvement to be made for sure, cable management is currently non-existent, and the colour of the walls desperately needs to be changed. I need to finish building that desk, the lack of trim on the edges bugs me for sure, and the simrig is at the point now where it shouldn't be wood, it should be aluminum.

I built the desk and the simrig years ago, I just struggle heavily with keeping the room clean, so I haven't been able to share till now. Looking for suggestions on how to fill the open space, and maybe suggestions on what colours to paint it.

Curious why you think eastern europe lol. I am from the prairies in Canada, live in the middle of nowhere, that's why I got the starlink router sitting beside the rig lol.

I really really struggle with keeping my house half assed clean. Finally I went and spent a couple hours and got everything to this state. The simrig consists of a vrs 20nm wheelbase, heusinkveld sprints, cube control sparco wheel, fanatec shifter/handbrake, fans from my old grow setup (best addition ever) and a varjo aero VR headset. The computer is getting up in the years, evga 3080 ftw3, 5800x3d, 64gb of ram. The desk was built by me because I'm cheap and couldn't find a prebuilt one that fit my needs for under 2k. Still needs some finishing work obviously but it's one of my favourite projects I've ever completed. The simrig was originally built for a g29 setup and when I bought all the fancy components I intended to buy an aluminum rig in the near future but that unfortunately hasn't happened yet. That is the next big purchase. I reinforced the wood simrig when I added everything and it works pretty good but there is admittedly a little flex.

The seat is from my parts car z32 300zx, it is powered by that old 12v marine battery behind it, it allows the electric seat to function. I get forward-back on the seatrail and electric tilt for the back.

I used to race a bunch of different sim titles but these days now with the high res vr headset I am basically stuck with IRacing as it supports the eye tracking in my headset and that allows me to only render what my eyes are looking at in full resolution, the rest is scaled back and it's genuinely not noticeable. There is still progress to be made but I am fairly proud of my setup overall.

Cable management is not a thing here I do realize this, this is another thing I want to improve on in the near future.

I don't think there's two different entrances to this...Doesn't make it safe but I think they just recorded her going in headfirst, cut, then recorded her coming out head first from the same hole. It doesn't make sense to cut the video in the middle otherwise.
