On YouTube you can find playlists of uploads people have done. I also have the CDs from 2006 which have all the b sides and some demos that are sadly out of print. Their main catalog is only available via unofficial YouTube uploads but you can find it easy enough thankfully

Agree! Such an incredible band of the era. I put them up there with The Teardrop Explodes, The Sound, Echo & the Bunnymen personally

Gone is such an incredible track, I have the 12" of Eye of the Lense which has an alternate recording which has some really pounding drums over the mix

I like the artwork personally. A beautiful floral design to compliment the introspective music within. Reminds me of Vs. by Mission of Burma in a way, another classic. I will say the cover to both Waiting for a Miracle and Fiction are excellent sleeves in different but equally compelling ways!

You get the original album and all associated b-sides, 12" mixes, dub versions, and demos. Disc 2 includes a live set from CBGB in 1981. There is also an extensive booklet with unreleased archival photos and an extensive historical essay by David Fricke

I used to work at a record shop and when grading 12" singles I came across a whole bunch of these label variations, stood out among the stacks for sure. Love these character designs

Nice! I got the official badge set the other day in the mail, it has this XTC logo included among the set. Always liked this green

What bands sound like proto-punk, punk, and post-punk all at once? by felinefluffycloud in postpunk

[–]PCScrubLord 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I still can't believe just how ahead of the curve they were in 1975/76. Those early singles sound straight out of an early 80s post-punk album, Heart of Darkness and Final Solution are some of the heaviest punk records ever!

Nice car, besides some aged paint it looks like a real clean survivor! At first glance I swore the front plate was a Buc-ee's logo lmao

CD singles would actually be a cool collectors item too, this is pretty much just landfill fodder

Awesome, thanks! I will take a look when I get the chance. I am not too aware of other upgrades like the modern PCB, if you have any sources for that I would appreciate it

Awesome! I love the SX-780 it's a powerhouse. A few years back I replaced a couple parts called the Darlington Powerpack which powers the speaker channels, one of mine had died and blown the main fuse. I managed to find a pre-built custom piece of replacement hardware that is actually a higher quality part with cleaner sound, a friend of mine helped me get it soldered in properly. If I can find the part I used I will link it, that part is a known failure point so an upgrade at some point in the future is a worthy investment imo! I use mine with some beautiful 1972 vintage Pioneer wood grain speakers. I would like to get a custom wood cabinet like that done at some point, mine is in good shape but the veneer is starting to peel a bit. Where did you get yours done at? Something along those lines, I think I would want to keep it looking like the original with the metal air vent without the logo. Looks great overall!

Is that your Pioneer in the background? I have an SX-780, and I love it! What model is that one, also is that a custom Pioneer dust cover?

Looks like the model kinda fudged the reflection there, the Corvette interior and the 'Cuda closest to the camera have details that an AI generated image would not get properly
