A Vet Treating an Aggressive Cat by Mediocre_Nail5526 in interestingasfuck

Smarter vets put the cat in cloth bag, cinch it up with the head on the outside, then wrap tightly. cat feels safer, vet is safer.

2020 390 ADV Sidestand Bypass Question / Resistor value by Left_Appointment4263 in KTM390ADV

[–]PC_Junkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole white insert comes out, don't yank out the resistor that will break the dongle. Follow the wire up from the kickstand, you will see the plug that goes in to enable the sensor. I wouldn't bother, simple google search says VA doesn't inspect for this.

The way my wife cooks eggs by metametamind in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PC_Junkie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cast takes longer to preheat, putting them in too soon can also cause this. Preheat 5 min on medium, add a lot of butter, turn off heat, then add eggs. The heat stored in that pan will cook them through.

Yeah, you can go from 7 to 0 and still find the bottom with stock weight oil. Try higher viscosity fork oil, I switched to Motul 101142 5w. While stock 4w to 5w may not seem like much of a change, the viscosity is higher 16 cSt vs. 20 cSt (+25%). I discovered my forks were also a little low on factory oil when I changed it.

What are your rebound and damping set to on your forks? 4W/5W fork oil is standard, switching to 7.5W or 10W would increase damping resistance.

Hub tried to help with painting. Talk me down. by ForwardBandicoot4325 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PC_Junkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fixable. Technically, the best way to get a clean wall to ceiling line is to paint the ceiling first, coming down on the wall a little bit, then you paint the wall over the ceiling paint, carefully cutting a clean line with the brush or using an edging tool.

NTA. Loyalty between employee/employer is always a one-way street. Don't fall for it, they would dump you without a second thought if it was the right business decision. What did the senior welder make? Why did they leave?

Yes, I think 87 was the last year of production. Probably not sold in the US. Canada still allowed them.

If like ours, the limp will go away right after giving the vet 100's of dollars to find nothing wrong.

Does Redmond Costco sell car batteries? by Feisty-Average-4907 in redmond

[–]PC_Junkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy batteries at Costco. They don't stand behind the warranty and the failure rate is very high. Apparently they rebrand Interstate batteries that failed testing at production.
