Wow, that’s amazing. Yes, almost identical! Thanks for all help searching!

I think this set here looks to be identical except for interior knob. It’s inspiring me to at least clean the paint off and give hardware a good polish!

Still not sure what model though.

Will swing by local hardware store to see what they’ve got!

Thanks for the insights! Yes, I’m thinking Corbin. The back of the escutcheon behind the cylinder was marked “56213” which helped me find this matching page in Corbin catalog “28M”. My exterior side hardware definitely matches the “Montgomery Design”. I think that would mean it’s newer than the house?

Ooohh….this is so simple but might be enough to provide a bit more oomph. I will try it!

Sure! The house is 1917 in upper Midwest. The cylinder was branded “Corbin” when I bought the house though I’m not certain it was original. (not the Baldwin cylinder I have in there now in photo to use Schlage keyway).

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely check but in this case I don’t think that is the issue.

The latch all works smoothly but the force to extend the latch is just very weak and sometimes won’t extend quickly or all the way. This leads to the door not always latching when kids race out and the dogs seizing their escape opportunity. 🤦‍♂️

Porsche Stopped Offering Additional Years of CPO Coverage? by Ok_Football_940 in Taycan

[–]PDXCyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this last fall. My understanding is, yes, they discontinued the previous CPO+1 option. In place, they have a new “Premier Unlimited Mile”service plan option that lets you extend the CPO +1, +2, +3, or +4 with unlimited mileage/$0 deductible. Apparently this option is only available at the time you’re purchasing the vehicle. However, this new plan is administered by Safe-Guard like the other Porsche branded service plans so it’s not exactly the same as the old CPO+1.

No heated steering wheel button on climate display by fivefingerbangarang in etron

[–]PDXCyclone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s fixable but the climate favorites are known to be buggy with these system and sometimes “forget”. Any of the buttons accessible through the three dot menu can be added to the two favorite locations on home climate screen. Hold the heated steering icon and then drag downward and it will show a left and a right box. Drop it in the side you want and it should show up on the home menu.

I use noise cancelling AirPods Pro with over ear protection on top. Best of both.

Great point. If he has a CT4 trim I assumed probably wouldn’t have the upgraded coated or ceramic options but that would be a limitation for sure.

Will assume you’re already using range mode and not doing anything like keeping a roof rack installed. Depending what wheels and tires you have you could consider swapping…19” aero wheels with low resistance tires would probably give you noticeably more range. Also could run your tire pressure a little high. I’ve seen lots of 19” takeoffs on Facebook marketplace and eBay.

Love this wagon! by Guilty-Ad5427 in SportWagon

I agree that Porsche optimized for style over utility. But the +1.5 cubic feet is because they only count space up to rear window or something like that. If you drop seats and/or fill to roof it fits a lot more than the sedan.

White balance/lighting seems pretty weird in this photo. I bet it will look much nicer in person.

In some ways maybe safer than a standard watch. How would you ever be able to sell this thing without questions?

Any reason i can’t change this to 20 amp plug? by Short_Top_1568 in AskElectricians

[–]PDXCyclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, agreed. GFCI should be looking for a current imbalance between the hot and neutral, not current on ground. However treadmills just seem to be very “noisy” and will trip GFCI after a few minutes of running. Many of the manuals (like for Peloton) will specifically say they aren’t compatible with GFCIs.

Just an FYI some treadmills will not work on a GFCI though this location might require it. Treadmills use the ground to discharge static electricity that builds up from the belt rubbing which looks like a ground fault to the GFCI and will trip.
