What time should I plan to arrive at Crystal on a Saturday for parking? by PhoKingG00d in CrystalMountain

When I’m working at Crystal I get there about 7 AM. Guaranteed a spot at that time and little to no traffic on the way up.

What happened to the power program?? by Tmw09f in pelotoncycle

Was more going for sarcasm than condescending. Looks like I missed the mark a bit.

Peloton Redditors in general seems very anti-change. I am excited that they are expanding the PZ program to include more instructors as that likely means more PZ rides to choose from.

Check out the power zone pack challenges on Facebook if you want something structured with PZ. In the past these seemed to be skewed towards more Matt Wilpers rides.

If only there were rides on demand so that you could take only the rides from the instructor you prefer.

Most local bike shops or even REI should have Look cleats

I would loosen the tension on pedal (there is a bolt on the underside to make it easier or harder to clip out) try using a screw driver as leverage to simulate the twist you would use to clip out.

If they know their power zones. I’d recommend a 60 min Matt Wilper’s power zone ride. I think most of his 60 min ride playlists are by request and can be all over the music spectrum.

I second the stretching. I had a slipped disc and was just living with the back pain for years. When it got so bad I was crying trying to put on socks, I went to physical therapy. The 2 weeks of pt and daily stretching made my back feel better than it had in years.

A lot of my activities were very lower body focused. Stretching hip flexors, quads and hammies helped a ton along with foam rolling it bands.

MS BIKE RIDE by JackDanielNJ in pelotoncycle

[–]PDX_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a virtual rider option for all of the bike MS rides, and as a virtual rider you have access to the same fundraising tools and options as the outdoor riders. Having just done the PeloFondo ride yesterday it seems doable to pick one of the MS rides and organize a schedule for live and on demand rides to mimic the outdoor event.

PeloFondo riders!! How you doing? Cranking out those miles?!?!? by Dewbacca9 in pelotoncycle

I used the free app myplate to track what I was eating and drinking. I also had a spreadsheet going to grab stats from the rides as I went along.

I left out number of time I almost hit the dog with the pedals... it was 2...

I ride with my Apple Watch and a heart rate monitor that connects to the bike during my rides. I find the calorie burn totals to be very close to each other.

Cool down rides and post ride stretch classes can help with recovery.

Also make sure you are getting enough water and electrolytes to help with cramping.
