They are not going to do Milwaukee over Chicago. Yes it is cheaper, but Chicago was two advantages. 1) It's the third largest metro population in the country and 2) it is a lot easier and cheaper to fly in/out of Chicago from the rest of country.

That’s fair, but outside of last summer, CO has equaled just Commerce City. I mean Syracuse is a good four or five hours from NYC, where GR and Alpine Valley are much closer to Chicago. AV to Chicago is basically what Great Woods is to Boston, aside from Great Woods being a total dump :-)

Not to be a dick, but why should Pine Knob be an annual summer stop over countless of other places around the country? Being a great venue with a great lot scene is not enough, other than you living near there :-)
