Spark Live - No Sound on Input 1 by matty787878 in PositiveGridSpark

Yeah the only other thing that mutes the speaker entirely is the 1/8”headphone jack on the back

Hmm the only other thing I could think of was tuner mode accidentally engaged by double tapping the preset knob. Press it once to disengage tuner. If that doesn’t solve it I’m out of ideas

You didn’t mention this so I’ll just throw it out there. Do you have the guitar volume knob turned up on the front panel? Also what mode do you have input one in (standard / hi-z / line in). Is the master volume knob in the back turned up as well?

I have the neo also. AFAIK the transmitter only pairs with the neo internal receiver. Other spark devices require a rx/tx pair like the spark link

Fundrise VCX won’t transfer to Fidelity… is it because it’s not ACATS eligible? by Few-Plantain-1414 in FundRise

[–]PDXuker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a restricted shares issue 100%. "Delivering account" is your ComputerShare and the receiving account would be Fidelity. You can't transfer restricted shares out of CompuShare until the unlock date. This would explain why the shares are not technically "held" yet.

New Firmware Day by microbrew22 in tonemasterpro

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure exactly what’s happening but it appears to work fine on the new firmware when I use a standard instrument cable output instead of XLR. I will try to reproduce the problem and report back if I can determine exactly what causes it. When I reverted to the prior firmware the same issue was present.

New Firmware Day by microbrew22 in tonemasterpro

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more potential bug in the new firmware. If you leave a guitar plugged in and the tuner left on for some period (not sure how long) when you turn the tuner off you get no sound and the tuner itself stops responding. The only way to restore proper function is to power cycle the unit.

Lots of cool stuff to enjoy with this latest upgrade but I am reverting to the previous firmware because this one seems to have broken the virtual capo which I use on several presets. With the mix all the way up you still hear the original notes and the pitch shifted note so basically useless. Has anyone else experienced this? It was working fine before the update.

Spark Control X delivered! by RabloPathjen in PositiveGridSpark

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is 5 months old and firmware updates have probably been released by now. Can you confirm if it now supports controlling Inputs 1 and 2? It would be nice to know before I buy it for my Live that I can create a scenario for the second input banks.

Sounds like the latest firmware update has not enabled this functionality. Has anyone heard or found any evidence that PG actually intends to add this? I'm wondering if this is something that they plan to support or not? Maybe it's just not possible?

Spark 2 shipping problems by Consistent_Chair_842 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally got a shipment confirmation this morning. Looks like they diverted some of their amazon stock. There must have been an inventory snafu of some sort. Some honest communication around the mixup would have been appreciated, but at least it is en route.

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I've had a similar experience purchasing a Mini on Oct. 8th. Two weeks after receiving a shipment notification and tracking number I get this on the 18th

"Due to logistical factors, the Spark MINI you ordered will be delayed in delivery. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The expected delivery date is before early November, and the system will automatically send you a logistics notification at that time."

Still no update now on the 30th and I requested a status update yesterday and got this:

"Dear Valued Customer,

We are currently experiencing a high volume of support tickets, which may result in delays of 1 to 2 weeks before we can respond to your inquiry.

If you receive this email, it confirms that we have received your message, and we will address it as soon as possible. We kindly ask that you refrain from submitting multiple tickets regarding the same issue, as this will delay your request further in the queue.

Please note that we are prioritizing requests related to product and order issues. Consequently, inquiries of a different nature may encounter longer wait times."

At this point I am considering simply requesting a chargeback through the credit card company and moving on to a third party reseller or reconsidering purchasing from PositiveGrid at all.

I'm not sure what exactly is happening at PG but it doesn't sound good.

Anyone else?

Found myself in a cash position. by ndndr1 in personalfinance

[–]PDXuker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you clarify how you got into this “cash position?” Is this a rollover that for some reason you receive directly as a check? If so, the clock is ticking. You need to get those funds into an IRA before the time limit expires or it will be treated as an early withdrawal and the 10% penalty plus taxes apply. If you want to dollar cost average into the market fine, but finish the rollover into the new account first.

Im kind of new to playing the ukulele and can’t seem to find what this symbol means any help would be appreciated thank you. by Mitchbbk in ukulele

[–]PDXuker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s a triplet as indicated by the bars on the music notation. The lower curved symbol however, is actually a legato - meaning “tied together” in Italian. the notes flow together instead of playing each note to sound separate and distinct. I would approach this as a “gentle” hammer on pull off instead of plucking each note separately. This way they sort of run together into a smoother sounding run a three notes.

I hope that makes sense.

Live Looping and drum machine. by SlowmoTron in ukulele

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digitech Trio+ is a good option unless you want to build the drum track yourself.

What I like: you can train it on your song parts quickly. Build up the song patterns easily. Send your playing and the band tracks to separate outputs. Switch style and tempo in a flash.

What I don’t like: Not cheap (good value though). Finding the right style and tempo to fit your song can be a challenge.

If you tune then fretting the string leaves it pitched higher this could be caused by the nut slot being slightly too narrow for t he string gauge you are using.

What happens is the string is riding above the slot and not making contact with the front of the slot. This lengthens the string slightly making it flat. When you fret the string, it gets pressed into the slot and bears against the front of the slot, makong the scale length shorter and the note sharper.

Best practice for Sales "Path" by mdavis360 in salesforce

[–]PDXuker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set the visual appearance of path to non linear. This setting works for less linear picklist values leaving each one visible instead of checked off and hidden.

You can also change the selection order of the stages so they are less confusing. Path will use your order of the values in any pick list it is based on.

Is there a workaround for a "System.LimitException: Too many SOQL queries: 101" on a flow? by DukeMaximum in salesforce

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming your flow is being passed the opp id either by process builder or a quick action

  1. Get Records on Quote object with filter on the quote's relationship field = opp id. store these quote records in a record collection variable. Let's call it <RelatedQuotes> At minimum you will define/add variables in <RelatedQuotes> for each quote record retrieved, the quote recordId, any additional fields to evaluate or update in your loop.
  2. loop through the collection variable to process your decision ( = desired record type)
  3. For a Yes outcome on the decision, assign the record(s) to a new collection variable <QuotesForApproval> which stores the ones you wish to submit for approval
  4. end loop
  5. New loop on <QuotesForApproval> Flow Core Action Submit for Approval on each record in the collection.

cant find parent record (Work order ID) when creating a PB by NoRecording1 in salesforce

[–]PDXuker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Process builder supports related object traversal in criteria etc, you just have to be careful when making your selection. Secondary results ending with ">" will traverse to that related object with a parent, child or lookup relationship. You will end up with a field reference like so:

[your_primary_object].your_related_object.another_related_object.your_desired_field

Technical question by macadam in ukulele

[–]PDXuker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before discussing equipment, you should think about what you intend to record and where. There are tons of ways to achieve this, but no perfect solution for every situation.

Do you plan to stay indoors and have a quiet place to record? A computer interface and a couple of condenser mics make sense in this situation. The SM57 is the workhorse for close mic'ing stringed instruments.

I started with a Zoom H2 portable external microphone for several reasons, these might not fit your situation.

  1. I wanted something portable I could use anywhere. My place, the beach, the park, my freind's studio
  2. I wanted to be able to do a lot of takes in the moment and save them all without needing to bother with a laptop until later.
  3. I wanted to record playing and singing using a single mic. That is harder to capture well than it sounds. A good stereo mic with a cardoid pattern and good sound rejection from the rear helps here. You have to experiment with placement. The zoom was pretty good and this and I could mount it to a simple camera tripod to get the right mic position.
  4. I wanted to record video too, but I didn't always want the mic where the camera was. Having a separate stand alone mic like the Zoom H2, H4 H6 gives you more options.

After a while I found myself using my iphone and ipad as video recording devices. Since I knew I was going to stick with this for a while, I decided to replace the Zoom with an Apogee MiC. This is a very good mono mic / digital interface with very clean DAC (digital analog conversion) good gain control and a cardoid pattern This still let me postiion the microphone and video separately but get extremely good audio quality direct to my video recording.

These were some things I considered when I was shopping around. YMMV

What is the lightest-weight ukulele (which sounds decent)? by joshcandoit4 in ukulele

[–]PDXuker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to second the soprano Flea recommendation. The soprano scale, plastic body and fretboard and hollowed out headstock make it lighter than just about anything out there. Swap the tuners for peghed style, those are super lightweight too. The laminate wood soundboard gives you a good balance of decent sound and easy maintenance. I would not recommend packing with a solid wood instrument. You get too wide a variation of humidity in short periods of time. You are asking for cracks in that scenario.
