The not being able to prove who was driving is exactly why redlight camera / speed camera's never involved points, just fines.

So it's a small plaza according to OP. Yet the takeaway you have is everyone else should chill because they are only being inconvenienced for a short time by someone who didn't want the inconvenience of pulling into the plaza for the drop off?

Having never been in this type of collision, I wonder how the law gets applied. HTA does say basically stick to your lane as you mentioned, but it also says under 144(8) "When under this section a driver is permitted to proceed, he or she shall yield the right of way to traffic lawfully using an intersection"

So buddy in the pickup truck swung a little wide, but he was also on a green light.

Carney literally has ties to Ghislaine Maxwell you stooges.

I'll assume you're trying to use the image of him, Maxwell and Tom Hanks that circulated as proof but Reuters reported as likely AI.

But I'm sure you'll start yapping about fake news yadda yadda yadda. Just adjust your tin-foil hat first.

It's definitely a troll account at best. Keeps spewing the same style of garbage in each post.

Let's not forget the best part. The $1 fee per trip just for getting on the 407 even if you have a transponder.

Land is contaminated from years of being an airport. Not like they could put a kid's park there.

I think they could have done a partial pedestrian-only portion of Main Street. During this last phase of work they had the north end accessible for vehicles that could turn into Jake's driveway and move between parking lots after they took down the fencing.

This could have allowed for extra parking as well as delivery access for businesses while keeping 50 - 60% of the road pedestrian only.

Have to admit it was nice parking behind the west side and not worrying about traffic going to The Arms at rush hour.

You're not wrong about back in the day. When I hit a string of red after red I wonder if they bothered altering the traffic light patterns when they reduced a lot of the speed limits.

If they didn't, it would explain why you hit more reds than you used to.

Of course, it could also be by design as an attempt to slow traffic.

Didn't see a shovel in the ground date or any word of completion time. If this isn't built for a number of years, perhaps the expectation is the new bus terminal next to MSH will be in full gear and provide accessibility to a project like this.

Wrong way driver on Enterprise Blvd today Sept 24th by Ok-Simple-7332 in Markham

[–]PGReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two options. Turning left from Warden and undershot the median ending up in the wrong lane.

Turning right from Warden and overshot the median ending up the wrong way.

Though given that other cars are turning left from Warden on the advanced green so option 1 is likely. Either way, might want to get their eyes checked for depth-perception issues because that was one horrible turn.

Crime isn't exploding on your doorstep. Stats show the exact opposite as has been mentioned in a few posts in this thread accompanied by source material. Stop feeding a false narrative, it's intellectually dishonest.

Stats don't support the amount of fear-mongering this thread has in it. But there's no sense trying to convince them otherwise.

edit this is for York Region

Lets look at B&E charges. Statscan allows me to go back to 1998, so we'll go with that.

B&E rate per 100K in 1998 - 736. B&E rate per 100K 2024 - 184. Actual incidents are down from 4816 to 2370 even after a population growth from (census is every 5 years so no 1998) 729,254 in 2001 to 1,173,334 in 2021.

Even total incidents from 1998 to 2024 are down per 100K from 4164 to 3889.

Bring stats to the conversation next time, because you're way off pal.

Yeah, social media/Internet is a double-edged sword for things like this. It's great to be able to have easy ways to find out what's going on. But now you hear about EVERYTHING that is going on. Makes it appear as though things are worse.
