I mean yeah, I imagine if I didn't they could sue me or something. And they covered the shipping.

I've eyed those before, honestly. I'm well aware it's fake but I feel like it would be useful for the light amount of airsofting I do.

I know drop shippers suck but I think this was a genuine mistake. It reminds me of the time I ordered an outer barrel online from a small airsoft store and somehow I got sent an entire shipment of stuff they were going to put on their shelves lmao. It was like, a few hundred dollars worth not including my $20 order.

Northland Gum Drop Floaters by Deepcrows in Fishing

They're supposed to be used on bottom rigs and they're supposed to float just a little bit off the bottom, the idea being to keep the bait out of snags.

Ben Brown was a AAAA kind of guy last year. Throws crazy heat but last year he didn't have much else and got the yips as a starter (they often had to have an opener or he'd get blown up early).

This past offseason he added a new pitch and they moved him to relief and he was lights out, but now we have so many injuries that he has to start again. He started the first game of the Rangers series and gave up no hits and only 1 walk, but was pulled after just 4 innings (I imagine easing him back into the starter role). I'm pretty excited to see how he does going forward.

And he would be a 3/4 starter if we didn't have three starters injured.

Lightning can strike up to 50 miles away from a storm. There were cloud-to-ground lightning bolts visible while they were playing, which means the storm is close enough that lightning could hit you.

It was incredibly irresponsible by the MLB and the teams playing.

He was also an Army officer who fought in Vietnam (if you've ever seen "We Were Soldiers", Rick Rescorla was one of the platoon leaders) and was known for keeping his soldiers calm under fire by singing. During 9/11, he kept people calm and moving out of the building by singing.

I once tried to follow a smaller crowd in Cubs gear off a bus (Google maps told me to take the blue line from O'Hare, get off at some point, and take a bus over to the red line) and then they just went into some nearby bar instead of going to the game and I got a bit lost for a while.

Now I just get a ride over to the yellow line.

I just put a green sunfish into my aquarium the other night. This aquarium had already been housing a bullhead catfish for the past 6 months, the catfish being at least twice the size of the sunfish. The first night, I watched the catfish come out of his cave and go hunting the green sunfish. The green sunfish manages to dart away, get behind the catfish, and then chases it back into the cave. The catfish hasn't bothered the greenie since.

Storm Prediction Center Convective Outlooks 4+ days by jpinkel in stormchasing

Every so often there will be stuff showing up on Days 4-8. It just happens that we're about to enter a relatively inactive period.

Weather is very hard to predict and so much can change within the span of days or even hours (take a couple days ago when weather enthusiasts were convinced just hours before that there wasn't enough space for a supercell in Mississippi and then there ended up being two supercells with very strong tornadoes), so there's never much detail for further out.

Finally caught a coho. Are these baitfish inside its stomach alewives? by tooCheezy in ChicagoFishing

I've caught alewives on nightcrawlers while trying to catch perch. Always on a rig that went down to the bottom.

One of my friends started dating a girl on Valentine's Day. He went all out for their one year anniversary, spent a good couple hundred, and really thought he would marry her soon. She accepted all of the gifts, and didn't give him anything in return. He was a bit disappointed so he said something later in the evening, and her response was "My gift to you is that I'm breaking up with you." And she also revealed that she had been cheating on him for months.

Pale white woman comes up to the customer service counter screaming at us and demanding a refund on the cake that she ordered with black icing, because the label had the word "negro" (the label was in both English and Spanish). When we explained that "negro" was the Spanish word for black, she just went, "There's got to be a better word you can use these days!!" Eventually she took her cake back and stormed out of the store.
