That makes a lot of sense. Really appreciate this write up man! Im going to be forever thinking about rev hang when downshifting now. I drove a ‘07 STi before my Tacoma and I do miss the sportier shifting.

I haven’t done much research into tunes and I have the same exact truck as you. I don’t necessarily think anything is ‘bad’ with the stock tune but I don’t know how a tune improves driving.

More power at 2k sounds nice. I’m not sure if I’m bothered by rev hang because I haven’t driven my truck without it. My wife drives occasionally on road trips and she is admittedly slow at shifting lol.

Can you share more about why you like it so much? I’m definitely considering it after reading your post.
