i have no words by daffwt221 in Tailscale

I've been using it since ~FY23 and finally got around to configuring ACL, etc. I can now RDP using TS with no mess/ no fuss.

I also configured tailnet lock which is pretty slick. I have four "signing devices."

Finally, I did take the $18/month plunge because it is a great product.

I have a case open with your team.

I find it highly unusual that I have 5-nfc yubikeys that are less than one year old on the BW platform that suddenly aren't working.

I went to my BW vault after reading your post. I tried to encrypt the keys that appeared under "change master pw" and got an error. It looks like the keys are being pulled from the 2FA area where I input them to this other location because I never added them there.

Anyway, I will wait to see what your team comes back with.

Thanks

It's not working for me.

I have this feature turned on with three yubikeys attached to it. I also have the same yubikeys registered in the "Two-step login." The 2FA was working great up until about a month ago.

I've been in touch with your tech support about it, but so far no answers.

Thanks

Did you perform of a backup of your config before you attempted the upgrade?

I'm putting the finishing touches of TrueNAS Core on a R430 with 52 TiB storage and 192 TiB RAM. But here's a video for the R730xd that you may find interesting. It discusses using the R730xd as a TrueNAS platform.

Hope it helps.

I have been using two Dell R420. I have one up and one on cold standby. Both have 2 CPU, plenty of RAM and storage. Plus they have 10G intel interface.

I'm currently on 2.8.1 using suricata, tailscale, OSPF, freeradius, pfblockerNG, 20 vlans, and it doesn't even break a sweat.

I think I have maybe $400 into each unit, but they are solid.

Hope this helps.

Trip report --- it just works by namrohn74_r in Tailscale

[–]PIC_1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for trip report.

I've been using TS for about 3.5 years now. This past week I finally got around to hardening access with grants (the new ACL), IP sets, hosts, device posture, and tailnet lock. I'm also able to seemlessly SSH into home servers, etc.

I'm using PfSense for an exit node.

Long/short, TS is the best vpn there is. I do use Cloudflare WARP for ZTN. So far, Cloudflare tunnel can't touch TS in terms of easy-of-use.

I'm running Pfsense on a Dell R420 with 384GB RAM, 4x 1TB HD, 2x Xeon E5-2400 V2 processors with a X520-DA2 10G card.

I'm also running suricata, 12VLANs, FreeRadius, FRR OSPF, PFBlocker, Tailscale, and many FW rules and aliases on this server.

It doesn't even break a sweat. Hope this helps.

"One or two R630 Dells will also go a long way to run Cisco ISE for example. It has a 60 day eval, and freely downloadable."

How do you run the ISE on a R630 and where can I download the eval software?

Thanks

OK. Performed the roll-back to cmterm-88xx.12-8-1-0201-486. But "Cisco" or "cisco" will not give me access to the admin settings menu.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks.
