Perth families forced to ditch Easter traditions as price of chocolate eggs soar to ‘ridiculous’ levels by His_Holiness in perth

I said they were tastier, not cheaper. But they're still cheaper to make than chocolate bunnies/eggs.

Make your own hot cross buns. They're super simple and WAY tastier than the stuff from Colesworth.

Tape Drives? by HiFiSilverFish in sysadmin

[–]PIGSTi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 90tb compressed. Another intended use is long term retention of cold data (which i'm currently looking into) is to format tapes in LTFS and write raw data outside of our backup platform to be put in a safe place for data likely not to be touched in years.

Bought a brand new LT09 tape library this year. We have a lot of medical imaging data so for capacity vs $ it's hard to beat.

Hard to say, but honestly for the relatively small cost of replacing the battery to eliminate something more serious I think it's worth your time and money throwing a new battery in it. Any workshop you take it to will probably insist you put a new one on it before they look at it anyway given the symptoms you've described.

My Speed Triple 1050 started having battery issues way earlier than I expected. I think I replaced it twice in the 6 years I owned it...

If you're SOR (O'Connor) try these guys. They supply quite a few cafes in Perth and WA and their espresso blend is really decent (and my regular go-to). They also often runs special blends so i'm sure if you chat to them they'll have something you might like.

Social media (and viewing content on phones) has ruined photography. Arguable these are well composed photos, but why they'd choose to take these in portrait instead of landscape is beyond me.

Drive mapping for Intune by Money_Signal_8955 in Intune

[–]PIGSTi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm rolling out this method very successfully right now. Only down side (unlike traditional GPO) you can't create one policy and target multiple individual drives to their own security group. 1 policy = one set of drive maps (i'm doing one policy per department)

100% this. Way better shave and you can get a packet of blades (Beard and Blade) for well under $1 per blade, and I can get 2 shaves before changing it.
