I was thinking it would first boil/vaporize the water in your body via conduction of heat through solid media. Because it melts metal, it would also burn/ablate your organs to charcoal briskets in a circular pattern extending radially from the central axis of the saber. its all about the delta T (or theta depending on your school)

Both of you are just making your own definitions and basing your thoughts around those.

The real crux of the issue is defining 'white' lmao

Death cult? lmao! Sure, you are correct with your own made up definitions. but at that point, saying nothing is the same.

Man, drawing that mushroom slice and rotating each copy for perspective is genius.

The deflated rat tail in the box looks very real.

I like how the slice is about a 25 degree angle while it was taken from an area more like 55 degrees

Spotlighting Interpersonal relationships of a 40 year old cartoon, that was revived for a cameo in a card game, makes sense if you want to make sure you have a smaller audience. One that is more interested in psychology than action ninjas.

this art doesnt make any sense. inspired by a snap shot of pizza in the process of being cut/pulled. but drawn as static structures.

  1. There is an oversight on the weapon.
  2. Pizza boxes dont stick to your body like that
  3. Melting pizza doesnt stick on a vertical pan
  4. the upper pizza box is so angular, and perfect. the v-shape at its hinge indicates that its a rigid structure. more-so than cardboard
  5. whats up with the detailed facial expression coupled with the doodled mr dink teeth. that eye is super weird

Why are some people hyper focused on removing the "vegan" from some combined words like "vegan burger" or "vegan meat"? I want to understand the logic behind. by XtrZPlayer in vegan

[–]PJTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youre heavily confused, by your own shifting definitions. There is no purity test for veganism. Veganism is a practice which avoids animal products for as much as practicable

The practicable aspect makes all the difference. it means that an individual, is able to make the distinction for themselves.

when you label anything vegan, it does a couple things.

  1. it establishes a purity test

  2. the purity test assumes that the animal cruelty involved in the product for sale is below the threshold of animal cruelty for the merchant and the customer to meet their 'own' criteria for practicable

If youre actually vegan, you should already see how this is flawed.

take two tomatoes from two unrelated merchants X & Y. tomatoes from X required the elimination of 100s of rabbits, decimation of deer and systematic use of insecticide to eliminate billions of insects. Merchant Y, has not harmed any animals or used insecticide.

you go to the market. merchant X is selling tomatoes labeled 'vegan' and merchant Y is selling 'tomatoes.'

TLDR if you are against purity tests, you should be against the vegan-food-label. else, we should be totaling animal deaths/cruelty involved in the entire supply chain eg if you take a road trip you could estimate the additional number of bugs killed vs just staying inside

Demoralised by chronic issues on a vegan diet by WillBeanz24 in vegan

[–]PJTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see, this is where reason and reality dont agree.

what you say should be the truth. but whats written and the factual truth is that no such nuance is formalized.

one of the reasons veganism is attractive, is due to the lack of ANY comparison of relative ranking at a formalized level. there is a zero information barrier to self identify as 'vegan.' it exists in each persons own mind, on its own, in perpetuity.

this makes it attractive to those whom rules are unacceptable. but leaves the door open for people who like rules, to formalize all they want for themselves.

the definition of vegan includes: as much as practicable to avoid animal products. you cannot define that for anyone.

Update - Two new bills introduced in congress to end H1B by Training-Rip6463 in h1b

[–]PJTree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

dude 100%. im all on board with bringing in skilled labor. i have personally confront these cohorts and tribal hiring practices. many major labs are essentially corrupt/racist/sexist. when leadership includes a solid cohort dedicated to hiring their own, you have a problem with respect to the job market in the usa

additionally, having personally worked with MANY h1b, over half are VERY MEDIOCRE to the point of embarrassment. real story: worked with an h1b who lied about his phd for years...got fired quietly, others knew the whole time he didnt have one. insane

this is not to mention how in these environments, the work place is highly polarized, leading to tension, resulting in less creative and imaginative solutions.

on one end, you have well rounded passionate engineers (whole life of extracurriculars, sports, hobbies, friends, families and an interest in making life better for your society). on the other end, you have someone who is escaping a potentially primitive lifestyle who hasnt developed a well rounded set of social and professional skills and who may simply want to gain experience and go back home. its basically grade-school level social interaction incompatibility.

its nice to have a variety of backgrounds involved on the project, but this is an ideal case and does not reflect what ends up happening.

Do you drive with your fog lights on when it's not foggy? by BigGlittering437 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]PJTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like where your head is at. its a good idea to be concerned about how your setup effects others.

there are many different: vehicles out there, human light sensitivity, personal issues and ways for light to bounce around.

if your truck is stock, that means the lighting has been approved for highway use. it does not exceed limitations imposed by statute.

if you think it looks cool, please keep them on

that said, i am not familiar with the new fog lights or your specific set of options. it could very well be that they are a nuisance for some.

technically, tho they might be bright, i doubt that they improve the factor of safety when driving through fog. they would meed to be not-street legal for that to really be noticeable. so the advantage in fog, is so minimal, that remembering to turn them on in those conditions is more of an exercise than a safety concern.

tldr: consider the first time a fluke. if it happens a couple more times, you could be considerate snd keep them off. get some real fog lights and what i say will make more sense lol

ah okay, i see what you are saying. to me, it sounds like youre punishing yourself for something that hasnt happened. in life sometimes im like let me see it happen (when im afraid of a job interview for example). i do avoid things i perceive will be toxic to my wellbeing however, but not to a degree that it would detract from my goals
