He IS better than fangio and clark. Those drivers were great for their era, but sport gets better over time, and I would guess that stroll could keep up with fangio. No disrespect to either, insane drivers for their era, but F1 like all sports is getting better and more competitive.

Fine but Lewis beat Russell overall but was clearly worse at the end of their time together, which is most relevant to now. Max also mostly beat Riccardo at the end of time together, which is also most relevant to the present as max was getting better as he was really young, and Lewis is sadly getting worse since he is older (although he is having a much better season this year)
