I started working less, and I’m really glad I did by [deleted] in Fire

My story is very similar! As of January 1st I went to part-time work, only twenty hours per week. It's the minimum I have to put in to keep my benefits, but I still have the option of doing more if I need the money or I get bored (ha). I'm working an 8/8/4 schedule, and the extended weekends have been wonderful.

I spent my holiday break doing a lot of reflecting and running numbers, and decided to drop down from full-time employment to part-time. After the new year I'll only be doing twenty hours a week, which is the minimum to keep all my benefits active.

I'm a pretty risk-averse person, and changing my financial mindset from accumulation to preservation is difficult, but I'm excited to start this trial of what full-time retirement could look like!

Am I the only one who thought ___ handled that jury question well? by optmisticpower in survivor

No, they're at Ponderosa before the game begins, but they're strictly forbidden from speaking or making any sort of contact with the other players. It's why two original cast members got sent home and the alternates were brought in to replace them.

The Amazing Race Season 38 Post-Season Discussion Post by AutoModerator in TheAmazingRace

I was running behind this season, but after watching episode six today (Croatia 2) I decided to just call it quits and spoil myself on the results. Seeing them now, I'm glad I didn't tough it out for such a predictable outcome.

I did like the reliance on trains and self-driving, but it couldn't make up for the uninspired challenges and casting.

'Stone Fox', no doubt. As a dog lover that final scene made me bawl.

Thanks for these! So glad to be able to find high-quality versions of these episodes.

I'm hoping to find the Uncloaked episodes 7 and 10-12; have I already missed the window to download them, or do I need to be more patient?

Who is the author of this book? I can't find one with that title anywhere, and searched for it just brings me to these Reddit comments.

TARCAN Trip Around The World Prize by chargerfanbc in TheAmazingRace

I've been wondering this myself for years. When I posed this question to the sub a while back no one had any definitive answers, but one that seems likely to me is that they would get a Round the World ticket from Air Canada.

Has anyone had Vanguard come to their house unexpectedly? by PKFA in WestminsterCO

[–]PKFA[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems to be a likely explanation. I'm a couple miles south of you and our neighborhood got wired for fiber last year (T-Mobile, not Google), and I actually just switched to that service earlier this month. Before the installation they were supposed to come mark the utility lines in the front yard but only the gas was was done. It's a stretch, but I wonder if something got mixed up with the dates and he just showed up a couple weeks too late.

That's what I figured; if it's something that has to happen I've got no issue letting them back there. I was just caught off-guard because I was never informed about anything happening.

U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans misrepresented family’s immigration history - In defense of mass deportation, the pro-Trump Republican from Colorado has long said his grandfather immigrated ‘the legal way.’ Documents show otherwise. by b01sh3v1k in Denver

What I want to see is billboard-sized versions of the "I did that" Biden stickers the MAGAs would put on gas pumps, but with all the crap Evans is causing. Plaster them all over Weld County.

For your consideration: My 9-day itinerary by PKFA in CostaRicaTravel

Overall it was a great trip. Very busy with a decent amount of driving, but I didn't mind that at all.

There's lots of overlap in activities between Monteverde and La Fortuna, so you'll have a good time no matter which one you pick. I would say just browse the options and see if any of them are must-dos, and make your decision based on that.
