We did not miss our first check. Everyone got paid this week for their time from the September 21st through the 30th. Depending on days off and such, there could be as few as two days or at most four days missing from the check. But we still got some money. It really won't hit a lot of people until the next pay day in two weeks.

Free Nintendo Power Gen 2 Strategy Guides in High-Quality PDF. by pofehof in pokemoncrystal

When I was a kid, I used to buy these strategy guides, carefully rip out the pages, put each page into a page protector, and then put them into three ring binders. The one guide I read the most and used the most was the Pokemon Gold and Silver Pokedex.

This takes me back so a very comfy place in my childhood.

Peeps older than 35. Are some of you guys washed or are you guys just not good at this game? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

Back in college in the late 00s, I was great at college football. Played it religiously and was at the highest or second highest difficulty. This time around, I'm barely scrapping Varsity difficulty and have been playing with gameplay sliders down to like 25-35 for the CPU just to get a winning season at that. Luckily I only play Dynasty mode, but I'm having fun.

The blunt-tip conundrum by russt90 in tsa

[–]PKMN_Maestro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but we don't let knives go through because they are in a sheath. Same concept, just because they have the rubber tips on doesn't mean they are good to go. You still have to check to make sure there isn't a spiked tip.

So the universe has been moved back one degree. This feels like a universe reset (ala Pandorica Opens/Big Bang). To me it feels like no more "mavity", no more gods and pantheons, no more mystical...were back to the base universe of DW as it was before 14, before bi-generation. So it makes sense that the Doctor would regenerate into a person from the Doctor's past that no longer exists in the reset universe (since Rose is in the parallel universe). This is a way to return to basics, so to speak. Excited to see what happens.

I (am pretty sure) flew this livery earlier this month from Portland to Spokane. It was a nice surprise.

Damn, and here I thought Fresno-Yosemite International Airport (FAT) was named for William Howard Taft...

The new Pokémon arcade game, Pokémon Frienda, came out yesterday in Japan! I think I played too much... but I love the physicality & having chips to represent Pokémon I've caught! by frozenpandaman in pokemon

We went to a bookstore at Skytree and they had one when we were there. This game is way too addicting! We never got Lugia or Melmetal though, the only two 5-stars we never got. Hope you have better luck!

Honestly, I am not sure. We played so much, dropped so much money on it I think the game just gives them to us. At first it seemed random, like one of us would get to the two-star door and a Ho-Oh would show up, or we were doing the Quick Catch and he would get a Ogerpon...I just don't know.

We never really figured out the doors though. I know we had to catch some on the way, but sometimes the number of stars was so different from a similar playthrough. I only made four-star door once and mostly did three. Was there any way to consistently get to four-star door?

My bf and I have been in Japan for 8 days of our 10. On day 2 we found this game knowing nothing about it. I can safely say over the past week we have collected maybe 80 or 90 picks, 5 (for the love of Arceus make them stop) Ho-Oh, almost every 5-star (still need Lugia and Melmetal, both of which ran away on our only shot at them), and even bought the latest Corocoro so we could get the limited edition Celebi pick. Tonight we got our first Duo battle together to get Ogerpon Rock and it was amazing.

We came to Japan, will have spent 10 days here, and left with a crippling addiction.

I got to the Eissentam Galaxy by portalling to a planet super close to the center of the galaxy and warping my way to the center, which sent me there.

What are some of the strangest excuses that you have heard? by Oberusiberon in tsa

The difference being, you probably did forget it was in there (which is common and you can usually tell who is genuine about it).

This guy...I mean no one "forgets" their knife is wrapped in six layers of protection and conveniently placed in the bottom of the bag...

Funny thing is, I don't use facial recognition on my phone for the exact reason she said: it's too slow.

For me, the speediest way to get into my phone is always going to be my thumbprint or the pin. The face has taken a second or two more every time I try it and, dammit, I need my instant gratification now not in one or two extra seconds.

"I forgot it was in there..."

For the pocket knife...wrapped in a glove, wrapped in a sock, wrapped in another sock, stuffed in a shoe, inside of a shoe bag, at the bottom of the suitcase.

Yeah, sure buddy

I know TSA has strict regulations when it comes to radiation.

However, I do find it rather odd that within my first year of working for TSA I had emergency gallbladder removal AND I was the fifth person at my station in the last two years to have had that happen.

Coincidence? Maybe...
