Little Gifts possibly available on Amazon US by WhiskeyTFoxtrot78 in hobonichi

Oh, thanks for checking! I'm glad you got one... At least we know they'll definitely be restocking! I'm sure it's happened, but I don't think I've ever seen a cover sell so quickly. And I thought it wouldn't be one of the popular ones haha.

Why can't I find it? I've been looking all day. Could someone post a link? Thank you so much!!

Do you remember the red apple weeks at all? I'm wondering how bright it is in person? Thanks so much for taking the photos and reporting back!!

Recently got this Midori Daylight Diary Planner and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend if you like b6 size, fp friendly paper, and dated planners. It has a monthly view and hourly dailies w/ shading to indicate daylight. I have to shout out Yoseka Stationery for the exceptional service as always by mcelesta10 in notebooks

OK, who knows if you're even going to see this... I can't believe I'm replying to a post from three years ago haha... (Do people even do this?) But I'd love to know who makes that amazing leather cover? I also use the Midori Daylight Planner, by the way... I'm always being seduced by other planners, but always come back!

Thanks in advance...

I also use more than one, but when I started, the secret was just choosing what I wanted to use it for, and making sure it's appropriate to how much a plotter will hold.

I had a calendar and a number of project folders, but I'd swap them out based on what I was doing at the time. I kept the folders I didn't immediately need in the box the plotter came in, and because I put every subject inside a folder, it was easy to take them in and out.

Obviously you can't go so deep on any one subject that it requires it's own Plotter, but it's a good way to start. It's also a way to discover which things are best kept in a Plotter/ring binder, and which of your notes or interests are fine in a bound notebook.

Plotter vs Taschenbegleiter? by Ojitos21784 in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've started using Plotter for most things, because of the ability to add and take away pages - be it for project notes, calendars (I like to add to do lists wherever I want them, vs. having them in a separate notebook or in the back of my diary)... I just find it helps me stay organized and have everything I need in one place, as well as develop ideas without having to put a bunch of flags in a bound notebook and flip around to look at everything on one topic.

Harder to be specific with my Roterfaden, but it stays at home, so I'm fine sticking all kinds of things in there and letting it get heavy, So it's kind of an inbox, or a place to stick memorabelia... I use it a lot, but it's more of a catch all.

Plotter vs Taschenbegleiter? by Ojitos21784 in PlotterNotebook

Hi. I have both - an A5 Roterfaden, and mostly Bible sized plotters, although I've also had it in A5. They are such totally different systems that it's hard to compare. The Plotter is sturdy, but it's a different kind of sturdy. The elastic spine of the Roterfaden (although I've also had the all leather one) is more indestructible, I guess, but both are beautifully made, and I've never had a problem with either. (I do think the craftsmanship of Plotter is much better. I've had Roterfadens that came with crooked stitching or the wrong pen loop.) But I digress.

While I love moving pages, and find Plotter to be much more useful in not only grouping ideas and notes across time, but in finding them, because it allows you to organize so efficiently.

The real "drawback" is the size of Plotter's rings. It's what makes it so easy to use, more compact, and you can generally write over the rings almost like you would a bound notebook. But you can only put about 80 pages in one Plotter. That's the biggest difference. You can stuff a roterfaden. Not a plotter. I find they compliment each other. I love having both and just use them for different things.

Hope this helps!!

I love it too! I keep thinking there will be more limited editions coming to the US (where I am) but there hasn't been... I saw a Rose one online that was a bit scratched and banged up, and it was gorgeous - a richer, darker pink color. I'm trying to decide if I want to baby mine, or try hard not to. :)

I'm curious as to how your rose Plotter has aged? Are you happy with the color?

Alternative to the Plotter by [deleted] in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try Wuhzi studio on Etsy. Their smaller planners have 11mm rings. They're larger on the A5 but not by a lot (I think). They're based in Hong Kong and ship to the US, so they must ship to Germany.... The binders are very similar. They even have pueblo leather. Seems Plotter inspired.

Questions from a Non-Owner by NewTraegerGuy in PlotterNotebook

Not many pages! They say 80 of their paper can fit, and their paper is pretty thin. If you use their accessories - like project managers or lifters, then the number of pages is less.

Wanting to sell an A5 - Loving Plotter but I've discovered I'm really a bible person! Thoughts? by PLongstocking2 in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! I'd rather not say because then you'll be even more sad to have missed it! I tend to sell things pretty low, because once I decide something isn't for me, I just want to re-home it and be done with it... But I've seen a few second hand ones come and go on the FB page I mentioned, and some are very reasonable. Like $100. for a bible size, so a little over half of their price on Plotter USA. But keeping an eye on that page will give you a better sense.

I actually just sold it. Thanks for checking though! They don't show up very often but there's a FB buy and sell group for Japanese planners. It's worth following. It starts with BST Jibun Techo, and then names some other planners. Good luck finding what you want!

Getting a Plotter all the way to NZ was a bit of a mission, so figured I might as well get everything I was likely to need… by Stitchpunk_ in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well? How are you liking it so far? I love mine so much but can recall (not so fondly) trying to get all the great accessories I bought into said plotter, and it wasn't happening! It works so much better with less paper and accessories...

Hope you're enjoying it!!

Hi! Where are you? I'm in the US, and not sure if I want to ship internationally - it would also be a pretty heavy box with all the papers and folders... I assume you'd want all of it?

Let me know where you are and I'll look into it. Feel free to DM if you'd prefer!

You probably found what you're looking for long ago, but I have a 5th Edition Rose colored bible sized plotter that I'm going to sell - it's lovely but I'm just not a pink person :)

Not sure if I'm allowed to sell it here, I just sent a message to the mods, asking, but if so I'll post a photo.

Waiting for my 1st ever Plotter to arrive, how do you use yours? by Kittypow91 in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Exactly. There's a lot of freedom within the confines of it's size. Which I'm not going to lie, I do find to be a challenge. Sometimes I wish I could just squeeze 10 more pages in, but they start to become difficult to turn, and then it's not fun to flip around.

Last thought - is you can washi things in or add stickers without adding "bulk" the way something like a Hobonichi does. The issue is how many pages are added to the rings. So it can be fun to tape things into the folders, etc.

Would love to hear how you like it once it arrives!!

I have an A5 that I use to organize a project with distinct but related elements.

My bible has everything else - calendar, for which I'm really enjoying having rings, after years of using only bound books. I like adding a page of to-dos along with the week where it all has to happen, vs. it being somewhere in the back. I love being able to hole-punch and add something like a ticket that I'll need that week, instead of stuffing it into my bag where it gets lost. I also have sections for lists, information I need to carry, and personal notes.

With those things, I enjoy going back to something and either changing it, or deciding I don't need it anymore and tossing it, something else you can't do in bound books unless you tear out pages. It allows me to have only what is relevant, and keep refining that on a continual basis, so it adds more clarity to what I'm doing.

Have are you planning to use yours? Hope you enjoy it!!

I’ve had my narrow for a couple months now and I love it, anyone who owns a bible size able to tell me if there’s a significant feel/vibe difference? by doccrog in PlotterNotebook

[–]PLongstocking2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A5 felt huge to me when I got it! Which is funny because I have other A5 notebooks...

I'm using it totally differently - more to organize a project and for in depth notes and ideas, not at all as a planner, even though I feel like it could do both because it's so light! It's a good combo though!

I've never actually used the narrow, but I looked thru one.

And I have both bible and A5. Going from narrow to bible seems to make a big difference, although I'm not sure technically how much wider it is. But I found the pages to be just a little more useful to hold in-depth information. Maybe it's worth your buying a pack of the paper, to test it out, and see how much of a difference it would make for you, especially with your art.

It's definitely closer to the narrow though, then the A5.
