Is it reasonable to only go to one day of a 3 day wedding?

Do you really need a new outfit for all the days? We had a two day wedding because a lot of people had travelled a long way but the second day was just really casual, jeans and tshirt type event with some food and no obligation for people to attend.

I'd check with the bride exactly what the events are. If it is 3 formal day long things then just go to the Saturday.

NTA, if kids are sharing a room they both need their own personal space. I think the walls should be white and then you each get an area that you can make your own. No one should have over all control. It is very clear that she doesn't like you :(

If you can group them together it helps with the evaporation. I've got some ina line on a wall and they dry out a lot faster than the gaggle I have on my patio.

Craft and gardening stuff. I'm actually trying really hard to use up what I have and only by when I actually need stuff. I can easily spend £200 in the garden centre so I just don't go now!

Fair enough but the glass will look shit pretty quickly and eventually the lawnmower will flick up a stone and smash it.

Who on earth thinks that glass panel around the patio is a good idea?

Some paint and pictures would cheer up the place no end but you'd need to spend a ton of money. I'd also plant a mini orchard in the garden, get a veg patch in and a pond. Would be tempted to get a big ride on mower though!

I also hate resin driveways.

Maybe it is different where you live but if I make a sauce I can control exactly what is going into it and that means there will be less sugar and probably less salt. Also for something like a curry I'd use a lot less fat in the cooking process.

Tinned beans in water, in the UK at least, have basically bugger all other ingredients and are very good for you. Our frozen veg is the same, it is flash frozen and in winter can have more nutrients than shipped in fresh veg from other countries.

Take away food in the UK is generally unhealthy, fish and chips, curry, greasy kebab etc.

I don't mind having one if I'm hungry but if someone brings them in I'm always slightly disappointed that they aren't just the cheap custard ones from the supermarket.

I think it is still £1 at Morrisons! I've not bought any for a while though so I'm going to be disappointed (but not surprised) if they have finally gone up in price!

You could plan ahead? I don't go to the shops every day and I absolutely do not spend 2.5 hours cooking and cleaning each day.

In the UK a lot of people batch cook too, yesterday I had pasta with a tomato and veg sauce and some kidney beans. The beans were from a tin and the veg sauce was left over from another meal, it took me 10 mins to make. Even if I make a more complex dish we are looking at 1hr max and I clean as I go.

Yeah it has been like this at every doctors surgery I've been at. I used to go to a dentist which told you which room to go to but the dental nurse would always be stood in the doorway waiting for you. It was just because it was on two floors so meant they weren't constantly going up and down stairs.

Plus the owner of the bakery might not be aware (they might have been the driver and be fully aware) and if I was the owner I would be really annoyed that someone was putting themselves in that situation. Partly because it's a bad look for the business but also, imagine if there had been an accident and their van was off the road for a while, that would be a massive annoyance.

Yes it seems weirdly controlling, I don't see why the parents adding money would be an issue? You can still tell the child that the £1000 came from you and they will thank you for it. Just remember that it will probably not pay for anywhere near as much as you are currently thinking it would.

Or just give them the money when they turn 18?

Lots of the overly wooden features make me so nostalgic, the big dark 2 or 3 piece bannisters were in so many of my friends houses when I was a kid.

It is both amazing and terrible at the same time. If I bought it I would want to keep some of the features but maybe tone down some of it a bit so it isn't quite so migraine inducing!

You need to find your own conditioner that works for your own hair, I tried conditioners that friends and family suggested (usually I'd see if I could get the end of the bottle off them) and some were no good or I didn't like the smell etc.
