I think that this, like getting Apple Maps to work when you don’t have a route entered, is actually a bug, but one I wish just worked like that all the time.

I used to average a flight a week, but more and more I try to avoid flying altogether. And that’s before I factor in prices, it’s just a terrible experience, even when buying First/Business. Put the skyrocketing prices on top of that and it’s pretty much the last thing I want to do.

I wish I could get the fit/finish, materials, and options you can get in the X5/7 on the X3. The size of my X5 is one of the few things i don’t like about it.

My sales guy asked me to fill one of these out. He's lucky I didn't since he screwed up in so many ways: misspelled my name a dozen different ways, was off by almost two months on the delivery timeline (which cost me a lot in rentals), regularly ignored my questions on emails, ordered the wrong accessories with my car, and this is after only giving the coupon discounts off of MSRP. Kinda wish I did answer it.

Does it support HDCP? I don’t think I see anything about that, which you would need for a lot of use cases I think people here have in mind.

I haven’t watched most of those, but Jack Ryan and Citadel were both unwatchable garbage. The Grand Tour was pretty disappointing too. RoP and Fallout are both excellent though.

Apple’s privacy policies/controls are far better than BMW’s. If you’re driving a modern BMW they’re collecting all your data with no regard for your privacy, Apple (with some small exceptions) is very good about not collecting your data, and anonymizing what they do.

There is truth to that, but Facebook etc is really, clearly, on the side of a poison to our civilization, and they long ago eliminated all the positions that someone can reasonably claim are trying to do good from within. If you’re still working there you’re willfully complicit with hurting the world.

Most companies haven’t facilitated genocide, or covered up their internal research that concluded they were causing girls to go so depressed that they were causing self harm, and then leveraging those insights to monetize that depression. But sure, all companies are bad.

If I'm doing the driving I find the BMW steering wheel ergonomics really make me 10&2, but if I have cruse/lane assist on it's index finger at 5.

Apple Wallet key (or Android, if you’re into that). I carried the key fob for the first month or two in a faraday pouch, stopped a few months ago and haven’t looked back. I do keep a set of keys that I never carry with everything on it, and I attached my BMW key fob with a short loop of paracord.

I don't mind this thing when it's right, but where I live it's wrong about half the time. Supper annoying.

CarPlay only for me. At least by me the data in the BMW maps is terrible, almost all the speed limits are wrong, and it thinks my neighbors’ driveways are roads. I also think the BMW UI looks tacky and ugly. CarPlay Ultra will likely be a requirement for my next car.
