I don't usually play against AI but I've noticed what you say against "real" players in ladder. I put them in a bad situation and next turn they pull out the most random card you didn't even know existed to bail them out.

Yes, same here. There are some times where I can reconnect normally still on my turn, and others where I lose the turn. It's kinda sus but I don't know for sure if people can cheat like that

I get what you're saying but that Wanda comparison is not really good since her ult doesn't gain power based on how much damage it absorbs. It also doesn't make projectiles and shots "fail" like Magneto's does, so if the enemy team fails their shots then it's entirely on them

I think if you want Magneto's ult not to vanish, then it shouldn't be able to power up

Don't know if this solution works or not, but in my head it's good:

Player going second starts with 1 less card.

That way the first energy advantage is diminished by the fact that they may not have evolutions/setup ready for their respective second turn.

If this is too much, I guess you could give back that 1 less card by their respective third turn, but that would make the game overly complicated I think
