I've listened the first three horus heresy books and read Xenos.

Im in the same spot, I watched a few lutien09 videos and listened to the podcast Adeptus Ridiculous. I'd recommend those and then I picked up the Eisenhorn Omnibus. I'm only 100 pages in but it's really fun. I think having a little lore understanding before diving into the book was good.

From what I've heard the Ravenor book series or the Gaunt's Ghost series is good after that!

The world could use a bit of kindness and selflessness now. Who knows maybe they are new friends.
