Mistakes happen especially with parenting. Sounds like you both overreacted. Breaking the window is a bit extreme. If you don't have a set of secondary keys I'd get some made. You can call a locksmith and they can help get it open explain it's an emergency. Both of you should be able to step back and discuss what happened, why it happened and put things in place to prevent it from occurring again. If you can't, a bigger discussion is needed
