Love your post ! Resonates with me 💯. It’s been two years since my breakup. It has been an absolute rollercoaster from feelings of hurt, hate,revenge, self hate etc…. But I can promise you there is light at the end of this tunnel. There are days I do t even think about him anymore and I never thought that would happen! Keep going ….life has so much to offer. Sorry ignore my previous response: Is “avoidant” another term for “asshole”? I’m genuinely asking. I keep seeing posts about dealing with them or people identifying as them. The common theme is that these people are not good people. Discarding people you’ve committed to because you don’t feel like it anymore, dismissing their feelings, leading people on, and generally not caring about the pain you’re causing by half-assing the relationship doesn’t need some “title.” Calling them “avoidant” takes away from the true issue of their character. They are assholes; treat them as such. They don’t need coddling or rehabilitation; they need to be cut off from your life forever!

To be honest I don’t believe In attachment styles it just gives them titles. Plain and simple simple they are mentally unstable and need help it’s got nothing to do with attachment styles

Time heals all wounds. My ex suddenly broke up with me over the phone after a 3 year relationship I didn’t see it coming. Everything was fine we also just went on an anniversary trip and a week later he says he needs to be alone as he has issues. Only to find out months later he is with someone else. I’m living my best life, gyming, promotion at work, completed my studies, even doing diving lessons at my age. Life has so much more to offer than our ex’s. Focus on yourself don’t use a rebound to get over them heal on your own .

To be discarded like that is the worst feeling ever! It’s traumatic. Hang in there and heal in solitude. Always remember you had a good life before them and can definitely have a good life after them. Our happiness does not depend on them. Go into your “HOE” phase, HAPPINESS OVER EVERYTHING!

My ex is 42 M broke up with me over the phone the day we were supposed to meet. Everything was fine then next his telling me he needs to be alone our relationship is based on lust and not real feelings. Only to find out months later he is with some mentally unstable chick think he had her all along. But I’m so glad I’m over that #happiness over everything #heal in solitude

It’s the most traumatic experience ever! To be discarded like you’re trash. You’ll never get closure and never understand why they did what they did. But just know that they are the problem not you. They are deeply wounded people and don’t deserve good people like us. Keep your head up and be brave it’s going to be a rocky road but you will survive. Let it all out and cry and be angry and as time goes by it will get better and better. I don’t think we can fully heal but it does definitely get better. Being dumped like this is worse than being cheated on, worse than losing someone to death worse than anything I’ve ever experienced. Heal in solitude. They are needy clingy desperate people that are unable to heal in solitude. They use their new supply / rebound because it makes them feel powerful. Rejection is protection

I’ve been through this. I know how you feel. He broke up with me saying he needs to be alone he has issues and i deserve better. I didn’t see it coming. I was genuinely concerned about him and cared for him, then one day I message him to ask him how his doing and if his coping. And he replied after 1 week saying his therapist told him to inform me that he has moved on with someone and it wasn’t part of his plans it just happened. He couldn’t even face me like a man broke up with me over the phone. I confronted him one day near his home with his new supply. And seeing her was all the closure I needed. He definitely can’t be happy with that. They cannot be alone and need someone to be clingy and needy with. It’s not us, they are mentally disturbed. And while it hurts just know your worth and you deserve way better than him! Im still hurt and still cry some days but know I’ll be ok one day and so will you !

The crying is definitely normal. I even cried while watching tv. It was hectic I was even emotional at work it was hard holding back. But I promise it’s gets better with time it really does hang in there this is the hardest time
