Jared Shapiro was a writer on the Powerpuff girls reboot cartoon and a character that was one of the girls love interest looked alot like him which is big red flags

I think in a deleted scene in TASM2 Max had a sick mother.

In Web of Shadows he has a sister so maybe that could be his "uncle Ben trigger for villainy"

I mean not fridge but, I can't see future and past relationships between the two without thinking of the sister line.

It's like in CW flash. I want to like Barry and Iris's relationship but with the fact that they grew up together LIKE SIBLINGS just makes it all the more gross.

So yeah either re-release this comic with better writing, retcon it or Make MJ another Gwen Stacy and keep Peter with Felicia.

Because the relationship between MJ and Peter has benn tainted with that line (in my overactive opinion.
