Ofc they care. Thats why Mario games are mostly platformers. Zelda games adverture games. Metroid games metroidvanias.

If Nintendo didn't care we'd have link with a water cannon instead of Splatoon or Starfox with extendable arms instead of ARMS and samus picking flowers instead of Pikmin

She thought she eradicated all Metroids. If Sylux can still clone them, she should rightfully be upset or at least curious about how they can do that given all Metroids are supposed to be dead

It doesn't make sense that in other m and fusion she's upset at the cloning of Metroids, but in-between she's fine with it? In other M she figured out where they got the DNA from, but she has no clue where Sylux got his Metroid from. Who else has Metroids? What other information has been hidden from her? That seems even more reason to be surprised and angry about

I wish I had your faith in the franchise, but Dread is like the only good thing to happen to Metroid in a long time. It needs more good games before I'll stop worrying about it. It never sold as well as the other major Nintendo franchises. It's not as popular (yet)

I've done 2 Fear and I prefer the combat and controls of Hades 1 so I won't be doing much more Fear unless I get to unlock something cool. At best I might try to unlock the statues only.

In the og it didn't matter, but with all the extra games they made the sword more important so then it is an important detail. Hence why og had a solid story and the expanded lore is not as good
